it sounds like a voice changer doesn't it?? just trying to work something out... i am a bit worried about dd. she shares monologues with this 'boy' because they both do drama and im a bit worried about it.

MyheartbelongstoG · 08/08/2017 17:47

Sounds like s girl to me op

AliciaMayEmory · 08/08/2017 17:49

Sounds like a woman in her 20's/30's to me.

TurquoiseOwl · 08/08/2017 17:50

It sounds like a mix between a woman and teenage boy Grin tbh, I probably wouldn't have reuploaded it and posted it here.

Sharing monologues doesn't sound dangerous to me anyway, so I don't really know what you're worried about? Especially as she's open enough to actually send you the recording. If it was remotely dodgy, she probably wouldn't.

TurquoiseOwl · 08/08/2017 17:51

Definitely does sound womanly though.

LetsSplashMummy · 08/08/2017 17:51

That is like an adult female sat nav voice from a computer, there is no appropriate intonation at all. Really strange OP.

Whiterabbitears · 08/08/2017 17:52

It doesn't sound like a 14 year old boy no.

TizzyDongue · 08/08/2017 17:52

It's not beyond the realms of possibility it were a boy's voice buy if was guessing I'd say girl. No voice changer though.

What are you worried about?

Whiterabbitears · 08/08/2017 17:52

Yes sounds like a young adult woman

scottishdiem · 08/08/2017 17:53

That is a young teenage boy. You can so here it wearing headphones and closing your eyes.

UnicornSparkles1 · 08/08/2017 17:53

Woman for sure

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 08/08/2017 17:55

I don't know at first I thought it sounded like a young woman then I could hear a teenage boy then back and forth again.
Some of it is accent as well it's very hard to tell I think.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 08/08/2017 17:55

That doesn't sound like a boy to me, at all.

Is it a girl who identifies Hmm as a boy? There are loads of those around.

MrsJamesAspey · 08/08/2017 17:56

So she hasn't actually met this boy in person then? How did the connect if not in person?

MissionItsPossible · 08/08/2017 17:57

Sounds like a woman and what the bloody hell is she going on about!?

Notevilstepmother · 08/08/2017 17:59

It sounds to me like it could be a boy whose voice hasn't broken yet.

If you are worried just talk to her about not sharing identifying information and not trusting random people from the internet. Links to follow to discuss with her.

Whitecurrants · 08/08/2017 17:59

I don’t think it’s out of the question that it could be a young teenage boy

Flimp · 08/08/2017 17:59

that's a woman

what's going on OP?

highcastle · 08/08/2017 18:00

Sounds like a young teenage boy with a quite feminine voice.

Notevilstepmother · 08/08/2017 18:01

You might want to read the teacher notes. It is obviously very upsetting but it's good to discuss this with teenagers.

Freshprincess · 08/08/2017 18:01

Sounds like a woman.
My 14 year old voice has broken and he has a much deeper voice than that.

alltouchedout · 08/08/2017 18:01

Could easily be either a teenage boy or an adult woman.

Notevilstepmother · 08/08/2017 18:02

Again quite frightening for a parent to see.

LoyaltyAndLobster · 08/08/2017 18:03

I think it does sound like a teenage boy.

youarenotkiddingme · 08/08/2017 18:03

Sounds like a woman in her 20's/30's to me

I was going to say it sounds like I do on tape but also like ds. We both have that whispy tone with some deep sounds with certain phonetics.

I'm a 36 yo woman and he's an almost 13yo boy!

MsJamesDeanBradfield · 08/08/2017 18:03

I think it sounds just like a teenage boy. Didn't sound like a woman at all to me. Confused
