Sometimes it sounds like a you nobody's voice. But just. The whole it sounds like an adult woman

Ingles2 · 08/08/2017 18:04

I've got teenage boys.. that is a woman

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 08/08/2017 18:05

Sounds like the voice from a tape recording that they use to put on in the exam hall in primary school before sitting your SATS.

justicesign · 08/08/2017 18:06

yeah i have had the chat with her and she saw that program but i dont know i just think its all very strange and as much as there is no harm being done i just think a bit odd when it sounds like that as no teenage boy i have come into contact with sounds like that

It sounds like an woman to me

NoMoreDecorating · 08/08/2017 18:07

Yeah that's a womans voice, I know the accent from somewhere but can't quite place where from.

Joinourclub · 08/08/2017 18:08

Whoever it is I think they should give up with the drama!

NoMoreDecorating · 08/08/2017 18:09

OP many groomers start out having completely 'harmless' chats with their victims. It builds up the trust, it can go on for over long periods of time before anything untoward starts coming up. Hopefully we're all wrong and it actually is a childs voice though.

TizzyDongue · 08/08/2017 18:12

Oh hold on. She shares monologues online?

Ok now I understand what you're worried abou.

StickThatInYourPipe · 08/08/2017 18:13

Sounds like Miranda to me

Say it is an adult woman, what on earth would they want from a 14 year old girl?

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 08/08/2017 18:15

It sounds to me like it could be a boy whose voice hasn't broken yet.

My thoughts too.

TheWitchAndTrevor · 08/08/2017 18:16

At The start it sounded like a fake woman's voice but more they spoke it did start sound more teenage boy who's voice hadn't broken.

Ds2 came in half way through the recording and he thinks it sounded like a boy.

CremeFresh · 08/08/2017 18:17

Sounds like a woman to me , it's not just the tone , it's the way she pronounces words that doesn't sound male to me.

SomeOtherFuckers · 08/08/2017 18:20

Whoever it is they don't know how to bloody read!

CremeFresh · 08/08/2017 18:20

The word 'prosper' could be a boy but when they say 'signs' it's def a woman's voice.

zen1 · 08/08/2017 18:21

I think that's a woman. Sounds nothing like my 14 yr old DS.

blueskyinmarch · 08/08/2017 18:25

Sounds like a boy to me. Not all boys have deep gruff voices at 14.

perper · 08/08/2017 18:25

Secondary teacher here: Yes, this could be a 14 year old boy. It's not a typical voice, but it could be- just because it doesn't sound like pp's sons doesn't mean it isn't. I have taught boys with similar voices.

However I would advise extreme caution with any online contact between your daughter and someone they do not know closely IRL. Keep a very close eye on what is shared both ways, and if you are unsure call a halt to it. Her missing out on one online relationship is no big deal- the potential risks are a big deal. You do need to make sure though you don't 'scare her off' and result in her hiding it from you.

Summary- could be harmless, but as usual be careful.

Brazenhussy0 · 08/08/2017 18:26

I think that's a woman. Sounds nothing like my 14 yr old DS.

Because all 14 year old boys sound the same? Hmm

OP, it sounds like a boy with a 'posh' accent, who's voice hasn't broken yet. I highly doubt there's any great mystery to solve here or anything sinister going on.

WaxOnFeckOff · 08/08/2017 18:27

Most 14 year old boys wouldn't sound like that but if they hadn't gone through puberty yet then maybe. I know a 13 year old boy that you'd swear was a woman if you can't see him speaking and only hear him.

perper · 08/08/2017 18:29

^ Agreed- if the topic remains drama etc, and you are able to see the communications, I wouldn't panic. I don't think it is a voice changer.

WorraLiberty · 08/08/2017 18:30

Why don't they just face-time each other?

SweetLuck · 08/08/2017 18:32

That could easily be a boy. A goody goody posh boy.
