I've read about the underage girls, Epstein and Maria catgirl and if it's true, it is appalling and will surely be Trump's demise.

Here's a precis of what it's all about. I follow Claude Taylor on Twitter and I have to say, he always sounds legitimate and the fact he's ex WH staff perhaps means he has inside knowledge.

From the Daily Kos: "[Claude] Taylor touts himself as a “former Clinton administration staffer.” He worked in the volunteer office in 1993 at a salary of $35,000. In the volunteer office. One would think, the way he and his band of promoters talk, that he was some national security insider.

Taylor’s circle jerk of retweeters includes something called Palmer Report which appears to be a left-leaning version of Infowars or Breitbart complete with promotion of unfounded rumors and wacky conspiracy theories, and the ever-present Louise Mensch, an off-the-rails British conservative prone to conspiracy theories.

Just because Comey said he was working with prosecutors does not imply that there are grand juries impaneled, as Taylor, and now Olbermann, have claimed. None of Taylor’s “breaking news” tweets over the past two months have been substantiated by any reputable news source, and a number of them have, in fact, been debunked, including by Snopes."

The kicker is kinda weird: DonJr says he met with the Russians about Hillary, but "no such info was provided." Seems bogus.

Trump now says "Russia was against Trump in 2016!" Which sounds like bullshit, right?

BUT. What if he's telling the truth, at long last?

Putin was against Hillary, sure. AND he was against Trump in that Russian intel blackmailed him. Let him know how much dirt they had.

And rather than face the ugly truths that would inevitably come out to the public, Trump chose to betray his own nation.

Kompromat is a powerful thing.

Boiling a frog is apt for abuse and apt for authoritarian states. I don't think there's anyone on these threads that wasn't alarmed at the very first lie spicer told at the podium about crowd size and didn't foresee where it might end but it is still sobering to see it as a warning in black and white.

On top of the degrading of democracy, I'm now really worried about what will happen with North Korea - I can't see how the situation will be defused.

It's always been a concern - who'd trust trump with the codes? - but with NK's new capabilities it's more of a threat and I'm worried things will escalate very quickly.

I have long suspected that north Korea would provide Trump with the war he will inevitably seek as things get worse and worse for him. There is nothing like a good war to get the people behind you, allow the implementation of martial law, and cement an authoritarian regime. NK is the perfect choice. Undeniably currupt, ruled by a dynasty of madmen, just threatening enough to scare people, but not so big there is any real chance of them winning a fight. All he needs is to ensure China won't get involved and if NK keep chucking missiles about even they are going to start finding it difficult to stand up to the US.

I imagine Trump goes to bed at night praying for successful missile tests so he can shake his fist and say resolute stuff. He's probably already getting his shiny uniform fitted as I type.

Talking of nuclear codes, did I read on here that a under previous President (Reagan when his dementia was noticed?) the military knew the codes had to be verified. I'd like to think the same was true of Trump and one of the grown ups (Mattis?) needed to confirm.
