Monarch has no record of flight booking

Going on holiday just after midnight tonight. I found our flights through last minute.com and then booked directly with the airline (Monarch). I have paid for the flights about two months ago, and went to check in online this morning using the confirmation code and my email address and all I get is a message saying nothing can be found. I logged into my account on last minute.com and the flights are listed there as confirmed, and I have checked and double checked the details but to no avail. I tried to call Monarch and can't get through and I've emailed them but not sure how quickly they will get round to replying. Neither of us are on Twitter. Can I still turn up at the airport? I have the email confirmation but only from last minute nothing from the airline!

Should also say I have attempted to call last minute. Com as well but was on hold for 45 mins and gave up.

wouldn't just turn up at the airport without contacting Lastminute.com, if Monarch have no record of your booking then you won't be able to fly. I would try calling again and not give up this time. Maybe its worth getting a Twitter account just for this?

Something similar happened to me before with Monarch, I had booked just flights but the flight was actually a code share so another airline were in charge of the online check in.

I'd recommend joining Twitter, you don't need to use it for anything else but complaining! I used it, they were really helpful and sorted out another query for me.

I'm not following your post - if you booked directly with the airline - why are the flights showing in your Lastminute.com account?

Monach are useless in my opinion. They kept reminding me by email that i hadn't booked hold luggage when my booking stated otherwise.

Is there an option to check in through the Last Minute website? Or are you trying to use their confirmation code to check in rather than a Monach one?

Can you check quickly to make sure that money has actually gone out of your bank account?

I think you might have to just go on hold with lastminute.com - is there a charge to call them?

As you booked via a third-party, it's very likely that monarch won't have your email address as part of the booking which is why it's not recognised on their site.

This is one of the reasons why it's always best to book directly with the airline as your contract is with lastminute.com, not Monarch.

It would be worth calling Monarch just to double check all is ok but I think it's likely that you'll just have to wait until you get to the airport to check in.

Ah, that sounds plausible. If you booked with Last Minute then their confirmation code almost certainly won't be recognised by Monarch.

If you booked via last minute.com and the confirmation is with them then you didn't book directly with Monarch. I don't think you can check in online because of this and you will need to check in at the airport.
This has happened to me in the past so now I always book directly with Monarch rather than using a third party.

I didn't think you could check in wits monarch. Am flying with them tomorrow and told to just turn up with the booking reference

I found a deal on last minute then booked directly with monarch but only have confirmation on my last minute account- nothing from monarch. I tried to check in online with monarch with the code last minute gave me for this and monarch say they have no record of the booking.

Ahh I don't mind at all if I have to check in at the airport I am just worried the booking won't be there. I did book direct with monarch I just initially saw the deal on the last minute website- that's why I have a last minute code too.

That doesn't make sense op, if you booked directly with monarch your confirmation would not be through last minute. Monarch would have confirmed to you,

Who sent you a confirmation email when you booked? Who does your statement say payment was made to?

If neither, you didn't actually make a booking.

Do Monarch have an online chat option? If not, I would sign up to Twitter & tweet them urgently.

Whilst you wait for a reply, hang on the line to lastminute.com.

I wouldn't be able to just cross my fingers & head to the airport!

I'm really confused. If you booked directly with Monarch why is it showing in your Lastminute account? If you mean is a Monstch flight booked via last minute then it's still booked through last minute and you need to contact them. Who has the payment gone to?

You either booked through last minute or monarch. It can't be both. Of you ha e a code and confirmation from LM then you can't h e booked directly with monarch
