There, I said it.

I had a dream about being sat on the toilet and woke up covered in my own piss. Mortified. AIBU to be concerned that something underlying caused this or was it just an unfortunate one off?? Anyone else done it?!

I did the exact same thing a few years ago - dreamt that I got up and went to the loo!
Don't worry about it! It's sooooo silly and a stupid thing to do that you will laugh about it in a few years

My husband did it once years ago, hadn't been drinking, wasn't ill, he just had the same dream about going to the toilet. Never did it again, I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again.

Another one here, happened to me twice, 7ish years ago and 3ish years ago. Not been drinking and no UTI.

I did this!!! BUT.... I wasn't staying at my house!! It was about 10 years ago and I have never done it since. I always wake up with a fright if my dreams go anywhere near a toilet now. Your post sent me right back to that mortifying wake up!!

Yeah I've done this too. I blame severe sleep deprivation.

If only those dreams where I wake up and clean the whole house were more real...

I did this in my teens! In my dream I was pissing, next thing I woke up all wet!
It's only ever happened once thank God!

I did this once a few years ago. Luckily I woke up during and stopped before too much damage was done. Was mortified and worried it was a new thing, but has never happened again.

Never let yourself go to the toilet in a dream! If you are looking and looking for a toilet... you need to wake up.

I have had the toilet dream a few times - not ill, not been drinking, I have managed to wake myself up just as a dribble is coming out! And then stop it and get to the loo -smugface- thank you kegel exercises.
Honestly it happens from time to time, and you can train yourself to wake up!

I had a dream I met Craig David then while he was waiting to take me to a nightclub, I popped to the loo... and I wet the bed Confused

I think it's a one off, certainly hasn't happened to me again for about 15 years. Like PP I always wake up in a panic if a dream veers near a toilet now!

Once and once only - I was also having a gloriously satisfying wee dream. I wouldn't be concerned unless it happened again.

I did this once on a school trip as a teen...dreamt about going to the loo, then woke up covered in piss. Thank God it was camping, so n sleeping bag was fairly easy to hide it.

I'd be freaked out too if it happened to me now, but I guess it's nothing to worry about unless it starts to happen regularly. May e make sure you go to the loo before you go to bed and don't drink too much in those last couple of hours in the evening?

I last wet the bed at the tender age of 24.

Also, only a week ago I started to have the toilet dream (I'm sure you all know what I mean) and am pretty sure I woke up in the nick of time.

Once only, when I was about 17, I'd dreamt I was bursting to go and did it in my bed. I was horrified.

Did the same a while ago.
Also peed in an elevator seconds before reaching our flat. DH was in the elevator with me Blush I try to pretend it never happened, and luckily he has been great at pretending with me

I did this as a child. Even now I sometimes pinch myself if I get up in the night to go to the toilet and it doesn't quite feel real.... I wouldn't worry about it as a one off, if it keeps happening and/or you have any other symptoms (temperature, pain, excessive fluid intake, excessive need to urinate) then go to a GP. But for a one off, I wouldn't.
