It's a relaxed, cheap and cheerful basic coffee/sandwich shop in a commuter village near a school. Proper barista coffee and home baking at reasonable prices, only open 7-4

Something like welcome?

pandarific · 22/06/2017 08:37

What's your / your partners name? I always like places that are named after a person, e.g. 'Charlie's'. Feels personal, iykwim? Also easy to remember and not too self consciously clever.

I've lived near a coffee shop named "chill your beans". it shut down.
I doubt it was a registered name ofc, but it has been done before.

triplesalco · 22/06/2017 08:44

Why not just 'Bean'?
It's simple and does what it says

I detest cutesy puntastic names.

Something simple, one word. Maybe your surname like Harrington's or a relevant word to coffee like Beanies.

And for the love of God please get any apostrophes right Grinor there'll probably be a thread with pics on here in the future

Grabit!

We talk about grabbing a drink or a coffee or a sandwhich...

Beans means Heinz...

FoofFighter has scared me with her plea for correct grammar (which I agree with btw)

Local coffee shop near me have basically used the same colours and style font as costa and called is something like cosma. It's always really busy as well 😂.

How about
The Bean Factory
Bean there, Drank that.
Milk 2 sugars
The Coffee shop
Or your name then coffee shop/cafe.

Bobbins43 · 22/06/2017 08:54

Surname of a literary character you love? Or just use the address? So, if it's 41, High Street, it could be Coffee at 41?

BoobleMcB · 22/06/2017 08:57

Bake and Bean

BoobleMcB · 22/06/2017 08:57

Beans and Bake

BernadetteBunny · 22/06/2017 08:58

How about your name: Sarah's, Alannah's, etc.?

I have one near me that's in a similar setting called (something like) Jeremiah's that has the kind of atmosphere you describe. They do very well, in my case I use them partly because they allow dogs and have a useful What's On noticeboard.

Agoddessonamountaintop · 22/06/2017 09:01

Full of Beans anyone?
I'll get my coat . . .

steppemum · 22/06/2017 09:06

No no no to anything with Beans in it.

It immediatley makes me think of baked beans and mung beans. I would assume you were a veggie/vegan cafe.

our local coffee shop had a sign outside that said:

It Costa lot less in here.
