Would it be bad form to ask him to snake my drain?

(Although ds has already shown him "daddy's tool box")

Bloody traitor. It's not even my ex's tool box. It's my bloody tool box.

JustArandomUser · 15/06/2017 12:39

Ask him if you can drain his snake.

NilesCrane · 15/06/2017 12:41

Ask him to open a window;

UnGoogleable · 15/06/2017 12:42

You definitely need to offer him a nice cold drink to help him cool down.

Then tell him you need your Chimney swept and does he know anyone who's man enough able to do it...

NearlyFree17 · 15/06/2017 12:46

Hot burglar alarm engineer here now. Can't think of any smutty double entendres though ..

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 12:54

Grin Niles!

Drain his snake feels slightly too forward.

Do plumbers do chimneys? Grin

I'm sure there's one in it nearlyfree.

strawberrygate · 15/06/2017 12:57

yeuch. Imagine if it was a woman being leched at while she's doing her job.

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 13:00

He's not being "leched" at though is he? I've said something silly on MN from the safety of my living room where I can't blush at him in the kitchen. He's not being sexually harassed unlike many women actually do at work. They lose jobs and friends but yes go ahead and make ignorant comparisons.

OP posts:
Dandandandandandandan · 15/06/2017 13:01

Christ, you really can't say anything around here without rustling someone's jimmies!

strawberrygate · 15/06/2017 13:02

It is leching though. I wouldn't like to think that a bloke was making sexual comments about me online; would you?

strawberrygate · 15/06/2017 13:06

So if the plumber is at the moment posting on facebook that he's with a customer and she seems to have a sticky flange fnarr fnarr; that would be fine?

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 13:06

I wouldn't need to think about it as I wouldn't know. Hmm

AnniesTurn · 15/06/2017 13:08

My ex is a very hot plumber

One women genuinely asked him to "check her pipes" wink wink Grin

IHaveBrilloHair · 15/06/2017 13:09

I had a fling with my plumber a many years ago, he was hot

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 13:10

OP posts:
strawberrygate · 15/06/2017 13:10

Ah right. So it's OK to make sexual comments about people as long as they don't see them themselves. Weird as I thought the days of making such comments about people were kind of stuck in the 70@s. hey ho, must have been a revival

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 13:10

Did it start by asking him to snake your drain brillo?

OP posts:
UnGoogleable · 15/06/2017 13:12

Tell him since your ex moved out, your pipes may have been neglected and could he perhaps give them a once over?

  • re the 'letching' comment. Yes, I know, if men were saying it about a woman then yes it could be letchy. But it's online, anonymous, he literally will never know. Get over yeself!
MrTumblesbitch · 15/06/2017 13:12

I want a hot plumber, I am very jealous!

Chapsview · 15/06/2017 13:14

There must be a way you can get "ball-cock" into the conversation....

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 13:17

He's gone now and I didn't even think to say ball cock. Blush I am useless

OP posts:
ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 13:19

Ungoogleable I couldnt tell the man that my pipes have basically now gone rusty and I've probably got bats living inside them!

OP posts:
Dandandandandandandan · 15/06/2017 13:19

There's quite a difference between leching over someone (making comments to them; staring; touching etc) and posting light hearted totally anonymous silly innuendoes about snakes and drains, strawberry. This is on the right side of that line.

NilesCrane · 15/06/2017 13:20

Did you see the one about poppies Dan?
