we are going out for a meal for mothers day

and i have to drive so that dp's dad can have a drink. it doesnt seem to matter that it would be quite nice if i could have a glass of wine with my meal but nobody bothered to think about that

get a taxi and split the cost between you.

At least you're going out! 'D'h is in Cardiff having had a boys weekend watching the rubgy (in the pub, he didn't have tickets!). But then, he's been having a shitty time at work and needs a break ... but why this weekend? He will be back later today and he's got tomorrow off work (to 'recover' though, not to spend time with me and dd!). At least I didn't have to have rugby on ALL DAY yesterday which would have been the case if he'd been here. Where are those silver linings?

VERY cheeky if you ask me. Tell them since it's mother's day you'd FOR ONCE like a glass of wine, so you'd be happy to drive there, but fil will have to wait until he gets home.
