I think it should have been done shortly after, before inauguration.

All that remains are sanctions, not only removing the elected from office, but possibly prison for those directly involved.

It would throw the whole regular US Presidential election system into chaos if new elections were called, I imagine.

It's just that if the elections had been rigged, surely the Republican party should not benefit in any way by carrying on as the majority party, with one of their party as President? I get that this is unprecedented - when the Constitution (and its Amendments) was being written, I'm sure nobody envisaged that a boastful, narcissistic, simpleton (insert adjectives of your choice) of Trump's ilk would ever be elected to lead the country. Given that this unusual event has occurred, should not unusual measures be taken in its wake?

Then ideally repeal legislation brought in since, and have bipartisan 'caretaker' administration made up of seasoned professionals of both parties to steady the ship until new elections.
