We took the kids swimming today. DH decided to whip 3yo DD's swimming costume off her in the shower area so as to rinse it off before packing it away.

I asked him never to do that again and felt very uneasy about her not having clothes on. The shower area is in full view of the pool and DH felt bad once he realised my concerns?

AIBU or in this day and age, when we know where to be so many paedofiles etc, should we be keeping our little ones covered up?

Okay, I get the message. I didn't have a go at DH by the way, I just asked him if he could keep her costume on her in the showers from now on. Came on here because I was concerned it might be my anxiety getting the better of me. Thank you for your feedback.

The paedophiles exist whether your child is covered or not. What exactly do you think they will be doing that they wouldn't be doing if she has her costume on?

I do this all the time with 3 yr old ds so I can wrap him snugly in his towelling robe without him getting cold. I don't see the problem at all, he certainly doesn't mind.

I have anxiety but have no worries about that, unless DS pees on the floor!

I actually disagree with you OP... but our local pool has signs up saying all children must remain in their swimming suits in the shower.

Nah, I feel the same as you op. Feels really odd that it's okay to a three year old naked in the shower but not anyone else.

Though it isn't the paedophile thing that would bother me, more the fact that I wouldn't want to take my swimming costume off in front of a pool full of people so I wouldn't do it to my DC either.

My ds is 2 I would never expose him like that

I wouldn't be concerned about a 3 year old with no clothes on in the swimming showers but personally I wouldn't take the costume off as there is no real need to.
