To think bacon and cheese make most things better?

Just that really, I really love cheese 🧀

Don't have much in the fridge so chucked a salad together, spicy chicken, chilli halloumi and really crispy bacon. It's so good.

Should have added some Parmesan too...
I also have a nice glass of freezing cold wine to go with it.

Yup definitely! Or you can swap the bacon for chorizo that works too!

God that sounds amazing. I have a rotten cold and I could so go for some comfort food and a big fat glass of wine.

Enjoy!

Screwinthetuna · 09/03/2017 18:09

YANBU, not sure anything tastes as good. Why can't they be as healthy as apples?

MkDaddy · 09/03/2017 18:11

Cheese - The ultimate garnish! Absolutely OP, totally with you on this.

HemanOrSheRa · 09/03/2017 18:11

Mmmmm. Cheese. One of my favourite dinners is chicken breast stuffed with soft goats cheese, thyme, garlic and wrapped in streaky bacon. Baked in the oven with cherry tomatoes. Mmmmm.

LuxCoDespondent · 09/03/2017 18:12

Absolutely right, almost anything is better with the addition of cheese or bacon, preferably both.

x2boys · 09/03/2017 18:16

yanbu although my dh would disagree with you on the cheese front he hates it and hates how its added to everything they sneak it into loads of stuff.

gunsandbanjos · 09/03/2017 18:18

HemanOrShera that sounds amazing!

I do a LCHF diet so most things involve cheese or bacon, it really is my perfect diet!

Most recent discovery is jalapeños stuffed with garlicky cream cheese and wrapped in Parma ham, oh my lord they are amazing.

x2boys, my partners flatmate hates cheese too, I really don't understand it. How can anyone hate cheese?

Cheese makes everything better :)

HemanOrSheRa · 09/03/2017 18:34

It's this ancient recipe from good food guns. I try my best to eat low carb so leave off the spuds mostly. I have the courgette separately as I find it cooks too quickly and just throw in a handful of cherry toms. I add a smear of crushed garlic on the butterflied chicken before adding the cheese.

I'm very fond of Hunter's Chicken too Smile.

gunsandbanjos · 09/03/2017 18:37

Thanks for the recipe, will definitely give it a try.

My favourite, favourite cheese is pecorino al tartufo, which is a sheeps milk cheese with black truffle. It is unbelievably good, need to go to the cheesemonger this weekend and get some.
