To think bacon and cheese make most things better?

Just that really, I really love cheese 🧀

Don't have much in the fridge so chucked a salad together, spicy chicken, chilli halloumi and really crispy bacon. It's so good.

Should have added some Parmesan too...
I also have a nice glass of freezing cold wine to go with it.

I make a 'salad' with cos or romaine lettuce, smoked cheese, blue cheese, bacon, croutons and homemade buttermilk dressing. It's amazing.

Also a salad, so automatically v v healthy.

I used to work in a restaurant that sold ribs, steaks, salads, burgers. By far the biggest seller was a chicken breast with bacon and melted cheese on top. It more or less outsold everything else put together.

Chicken stuffed with cheese and garlic then wrapped in bacon. Lovely.
I tried to introduce the deliciousness of crispy bacon with maple syrup on pancakes to my family on Shrove Tuesday. They were not interested.
Idiots.
All the more for me then!!!

Has anyone tried the halloumi 'burgers'? I know they are a gimmick but I think they would make a delicious stack with aubergine and beef tomato slices. Possibly with some crispy pancetta involved. I'm going to try them Grin.

And when I say 'contemplating', I do not mean 'considering having', rather 'ruminating on its beauty'.

Dh wanted a v dull tea tonight of roasted chicken breast, so I sneaked in feta and cherry toms and wrapped in bacon after he'd put it in the oven. Bloody lovely. Even he admitted it!

I had cheese once in the states, it as terrible like plastic, but apart from that cheese makes all meals better and i stopped being veggie due to bacon butties Grin

Aw Cigars Sad. I have the most amazing photo of DS taken on holiday a couple of years ago. I'd introduced him to the wonder of fat and fluffy american pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup earlier that year. So I made it for our 'first day of holiday breakfast'. His face is a picture of joy Grin.

I'm in the US and most decent grocery stores have a nice cheese display by the deli counter.

I forgot to add we had Havarti dill cheese and bacon on grainy bread for lunc...I would grab the first cheese in case of emergency.

My favourite comfort food is potato wedges topped with cheese and bacon with sour cream and sweet chilli sauces for dipping. Mmmm yum.

Maple bacon cheddar sounds delicious!

I'm fond of a cheese the damn fine cheese company make called Yeasty Beasty, its cheddar infused with yeast. Sounds revolting but is utterly magnificent.

Oh lordy Q one of the most memorable meals I've had was a get together with friends. We brought all sorts of delicious homemade dishes. My absolute favourite was the potato wedges with crispy bacon and spring onion smothered in cheese. That with the delicious chilli and homemade coleslaw is one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Just the most amazing comfort food, eaten with friends and a great atmosphere. I know we can make these things ourselves but sometimes everything is just lovely Smile.

There are very few foods that can' be improved by the addition of cheese and/or bacon.

Chocolate will usually work in cases where this applies.
