I recall saying, once, that I liked the feeling that - if woken at 3 in the morning with news of a problem - Obama would resignedly pull on his trousers and toddle down to the Situation Room for some hard facts. These days, EP seems more likely to rather offhandedly say '.You deal with it as you see fit - I need to catch up on Twitter'.
