I could write a great essay on all of this. But I guess most people on here know the theories.

(Did you see what I did there? )

@Khanoisseur has tweeted reams about his Russian deals

Lweji · 07/02/2017 12:22

Yes, he's feeling hounded.
Too close to the truth?

fuckingwall · 07/02/2017 12:30

Saudi Arabia are on that list but aren't part of the ban. Hmm

Lweji · 07/02/2017 12:31

And will never be. They don't have refugees. Just money and oil.

GrouchyKiwi · 07/02/2017 12:35

OK. I finally caught up with the previous thread, and this one is nearly full. Starting to get a bit tired of it all but don't want to miss important stuff so placemarking before I go back to read everything else.

BTW: if you want to check news sources, this is a good website = mediabiasfactcheck.com/

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 12:36

- yet Obama can make a deal with Iran

Is he actually suggesting that Obama has made personal business deals with Iran Shock

TangerineArmadillo · 07/02/2017 12:36

Have just noticed this from the "so-called" terror incident list.

QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA August, 2016
TARGET: Two killed and one wounded in knife attack at a hostel frequented by Westerners

It's Australia. Pretty much everywhere is frequented by Westerners. Because it's a Western country.

TuckersBadLuck · 07/02/2017 12:37

"don't trust the mainstream media - and certainly not the BBC or Guardian"

I've had this on another forum. During a sensible(-ish) discussion on 'fake news' one of the participants suggested a 'traffic-light' system to mark the trustworthiness of the source - fine so far. His examples were that the Guardian should be coded red because they're clearly biased, the BBC should be amber because they can be quite biased and Breitbart should be coded green because they're trustworthy! Only one person pulled him up on that.

Sometimes these people make me doubt my own sanity.

lingle · 07/02/2017 12:37

he's jealous.

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 12:38

grouchy that site is great! A new favourite

lingle · 07/02/2017 12:38

"Perhaps Melania will be the one to bring him down?

(Idle speculation- have no evidence!)"

Oh YES! Can we start a thread with the possible ways this could happen?
I remember watching The Politician's Wife many moons ago....

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 12:40

That's the problem Tucker's you have to ask yourself what the bias is of the person claiming bias. There is no such thing as a neutral source....I learnt that in history GCSE Wink

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 12:46

Interesting that the media bias site grouchy linked as the BBC as a left of center bias. I know a lot of lefties who would argue it is has a right wing bias...

cozietoesie · 07/02/2017 12:46

I agree, birdy and lingle. Except I'd cast it wider and say 'his womenfolk'.

CaveMum · 07/02/2017 12:51

Why oh why hasn't someone taken away his Twitter account?!

How does he have access to it? I'm sure I read that POTUS isn't allowed a mobile phone because of the security risks (not a secure line, easy to track, etc). The Secret Service must be banging their heads on desks over this one.

TuckersBadLuck · 07/02/2017 12:54

Yes, I've noticed all sorts of people of all political persuasions claiming that the BBC is biased against their particular views, it's probably a sign that they're not too badly biased in any direction isn't it?

Personally I trust the BBC not to lie and not to put too much of a spin on things. I trust the Guardian to accurately pick out the facts that suit their agenda and to cover a story in enough depth that it's easy to go to the source and find the real story.

cozietoesie · 07/02/2017 12:58

I don't think the Secret Service are flavour of the month right now, Cave. Smile

klassy · 07/02/2017 13:04

Someone's tweeted a video from 2013 of Trump saying (much more coherently than he would now!) how he does have a relationship with Putin, and sounding reverential over how Putin's become a world leader.

MercyMyJewels · 07/02/2017 13:06

Trump admits Putin Relationship with Putin in 2013

pants on fire

MercyMyJewels · 07/02/2017 13:16

Just posted it above Klassy. Scroll down to view

Formerpigwrestler9 · 07/02/2017 13:17

Hahaha
Trump is Putin's biggest fanboy

BiglyBadgers · 07/02/2017 13:18

I'm just wondering if Obama will come out and refute the impression Trump has given that he has made deals with Iran. I am assuming that the only deals Obama has made with Iran in his capacity of representative of the USA rather than having any personal business dealings. I could be wrong about this of course.

Lweji · 07/02/2017 13:21

He's clearly talking about the deal that 5+1 countries signed with Iran in relation to nuclear capability.
But in Trump's mind it's Obama's deal. All by himself.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 07/02/2017 13:25

Hes digging a big hole with the Putin denials surely?
