Because there's a lot going on.

Thanks, ami. smile

I'd almost rather have Arnie, Lweji.

FlyMeToTheMoonLiterally Sat 04-Feb-17 14:46:51

For a moment of light relief

Chippednailvarnishing Sat 04-Feb-17 14:46:54

I think Arnie would at least know when to STFU.

cozietoesie Sat 04-Feb-17 14:47:38

At least when RR was up in the Residence watching cowboy movies, you had a feeling that someone halfway competent was actually running the country for him.

It's Superbowl weekend.

That will be interesting.......

Has anyone ever seen the Tom Clancy film Sum of All Fears

"The terrorists agree to detonate the weapon during the Super Bowl in Denver, planned to coincide with a false flag attack on U.S. forces in Berlin by East Germans disguised as Soviet soldiers, aiming to begin a nuclear war between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. The East Germans hope that the war will eliminate both superpowers and punish the Soviets for betraying World Socialism, while the Palestinians hope the attack will destroy the Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement and end U.S. aid to Israel""

"When the terrorists are captured and interrogated by Clark in Mexico City, they implicate the Iranian ayatollah in the attack. President Fowler orders the Ayatollah's residence in the holy city of Qom to be destroyed by a nuclear strike. After Ryan averts the attack by enforcing the two-man rule, Ryan lies and claims that Qom was destroyed. The terrorists then reveal that Iran was not involved, and that their deceit was meant to discredit the United States and destroy the peace process, allowing the campaign against Israel to continue. It is implied that President Fowler is subsequently removed from office following the process established in the U.S. Constitution after suffering a nervous breakdown.

An interesting plot

New thread already! We're headed home now. had a good time and DD was great. Everyone kept stopping us to take her photo with her sign grin

MayhemandMadness01 Sat 04-Feb-17 14:52:06

Place marking whilst I try to catch up.

CaveMum Sat 04-Feb-17 14:52:49

I read once that the difference between Bill Clinton and George W Bush was that Clinton was a smart man who surrounded himself with idiots (to feed his ego) whereas Bush was the opposite.

This time it appears that the idiot has surrounded himself with his kindred spirits.

Do we think Trump might beat President Henry Harrison's record - just 41 days in office?! (Harrison caught pneumonia following his inauguration held in cold, wet weather. The twit didn't wear a coat or hat!)

JeffreyArchersUnderpants Sat 04-Feb-17 14:53:26

Placemarking. (Autocorrect wanted to change it to peacemaking).
Thanks for the updates.

BestIsWest Sat 04-Feb-17 14:55:46

Ha! Peacemarking! grin

I am so placemarking.

I think the "beever" drawing was really cute. Maybe he could be persuaded to take up card designing for his next career (immediately, please).

I'm looking forward to Lady Gaga's performance.

NRA Asks Lady Gaga to Not Get Political at Super Bowl: People Don't Want to Hear 'How Stupid & Racist They Are'

Conservative political commentator Bill Whittle: "I think if Lady Gaga comes out there and makes this an anti-Trump tirade, I think that's really the final step of the declaration of war between our pop culture people and the actual citizens,"
but then, "This is not the Kennedy Awards, this isn't the Oscars, this is the Super Bowl where real Americans get together and have a real fun day and the last thing they want to hear is how stupid and racist they are."

Did he really mean to say that?

NRATV ✔ @nranews
Dear @ladygaga: don't get political at #SuperBowl. People are tired of being called stupid & racist by dunces like @Beyonce & @Kaepernick7

To paraphrase:

Trump should heed the advice of Lincoln, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to tweet and remove all doubt

squishysquirmy Sat 04-Feb-17 14:58:51

I'm building the biglest, most beautiful placemark. And guess who's going to pay for it?

CaveMum Sat 04-Feb-17 15:01:44

I know this is old (from the day after the election) but it still rings true for me.

CaveMum Sat 04-Feb-17 15:07:49

I can't be the only one that sees this whenever Trump tweets his "great again" crap

illegitimateMortificadospawn Sat 04-Feb-17 15:07:57

SO EXCITED!!! Actually caught up at the start of this thread, so placemarking and adding from the front in a single post. THE BEST feeling, just terrific!!

cozietoesie Sat 04-Feb-17 15:08:06

Well not Devon, I'm guessing? grin

cozietoesie Sat 04-Feb-17 15:09:06

Sorry - that was a response to squidgy. wink

cozietoesie Sat 04-Feb-17 15:10:49

Here is my take: this thread is very important. Very very important. No FAKE news. None of those others. Just bee-you-ti-fool people with the best links and winning opinions
