CNN have held the moral high ground on this one, being very careful in how they present it and not sharing the leaked document.

CNN are saying that the IAs created the two page summary to alert Trump the fact that this information was circulating amongst IAs and amongst senior members of the government including senior congressmen.

To make it clear, the document in buzzfeed is a 35 page collection of memos. The two page summary of the memos is what was given to Trump and Obama as part of the briefing.

Of course the problem is, that because these reports are unverified, if parts of them are found to be untrue then Trump et al will use that to discredit the whole content.

I actually wish that buzzfeed hadn't published this, there is a reason that these things are handled carefully - not as a cover up, but to ensure that fully verified reports go out to the public. Buzz feed admit there are errors in it. The story as published by CNN was damning enough.
