surely noone can defend that?

It's three and a half months till easter. What possible reason could there be for the supermarkets to have hot cross buns and easter eggs already?

They are all year long.

DameXanaduBramble · 03/01/2017 18:56

They are available year round.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 03/01/2017 18:57

Supermarkets near me sell them year round.

Ginmakesitallok · 03/01/2017 18:57

Can get them all year round here too - good thing, I love them.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 03/01/2017 18:57

Hot cross buns are all year round but I saw mini eggs, malteaser bunnies, creme eggs etc out the day after Boxing Day. So I bought some BlushWinkGrin

d270r0 · 03/01/2017 19:00

BubbleFairy · 03/01/2017 19:02

Hot cross buns are all year round. They've been Christmas day breakfast here for a few years.

MrsTom · 03/01/2017 19:02

We were in WHSmith on 27th December spending the DCs Christmas vouchers and I saw a mini eggs and chocolate bunnies Easter display near the cash desk!

MrsHathaway · 03/01/2017 19:26

I do wonder who the fuck has space to store Easter eggs for months - it's not like they're compact.

I love spiced buns and would gladly eat them all year. But why do they need the crosses on? Just sell sticky spiced fruited buns.

I have a breadmaker HCB recipe that comes out beautifully (obvs just make the dough in the breadmaker then shape and bake in the oven).

IWantATardis · 03/01/2017 19:28

My local co-op had a display of various Easter chocolate mini eggs out 2 days after Christmas.

cardboardPeony · 03/01/2017 19:30

I eat hot cross buns all year

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2017 19:31

MrsHathaway you don't store them, you eat them!

Yabu because hot cross buns are delicious and I am very happy when I see them in the shops.

Redglitter · 03/01/2017 19:39

Tesco have been selling them all year. I kept expecting them to disappear but thankfully they didn't

deeedeee · 03/01/2017 19:45

Why can't the supermarket's just let us enjoy the time of year it actually is?

YABU - they need to sell easter related products now because at Easter they will need every inch of available floor space for Septembers new school uniforms. Grin

SilentlyScreamingAgain · 03/01/2017 19:47

How else am I supposed to manage without a couple of mince pies?

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 03/01/2017 19:48

No to Easter Eggs

YES to hot cross buns all year round!

MrsHathaway · 03/01/2017 19:49

Wait, you eat them? Confused

What the Jeff is wrong with a block of Dairy Milk?

ShelaghTurner · 03/01/2017 19:56

YANBU. Bloody hot cross buns being available all year round and so bloody delicious. How's a person ever supposed to lose weight with those feckers staring up at me every time I go to Sainsbury's. I love a HCB #cries

Butterymuffin · 03/01/2017 19:59
