Referring primarily to the main three.

I haven't seen the films in so long but watched them when they've been on this week and it's so bad.

😒

Wash your mouth out.

AVirginLitTheCandle · 28/12/2016 20:45

If you're talking specifically about the main three then YANBU.

Believeitornot · 28/12/2016 20:47

Well yes yanbu

They've grown on me but whenever I go back and read the books I realise how much they've missed out

SmashDemGuineaPigs · 28/12/2016 20:48

Oh, soooo bad. But it's just the kids. And it does get better

glitterandtinsel · 28/12/2016 20:48

Especially Harmione

RainbowJack · 28/12/2016 20:48

YANBU

I loved!! the books. Went to the cinema to watch the first film. I was so devastated (the characters weren't how I imagined at all). I didn't bother with the others.

Gutted.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/12/2016 20:49

I dont think it matters. They're unique, the whole thing is unique.

TheHiphopopotamus · 28/12/2016 20:50

Yanbu.

They are terrible. Especially Hermione who emphasises every other word!

Radcliffe has grown on me as an adult though.

Evennumberonthevolume · 28/12/2016 20:51

What's unique?

Mind you, the source material doesn't help 🙊

SherlockPotter · 28/12/2016 20:51

Not at all.

OSETmum · 28/12/2016 20:52

Yeah the 3 kids were really bad...

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/12/2016 20:52

Harry Potter and that sort of filming. I think.

MischiefManagedAlways · 28/12/2016 20:52

Ron isn't so bad, it's Harry and Hermione that make me cringe. It's such a shame as well as Hermione is my favourite character in the book, however in the film she comes across as very flat.

I'm not particularly looking forward to Emma Watsons portrayal of Belle in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast! Blush

PossumInAPearTree · 28/12/2016 20:53

They do improve through the films but the first couple of films it ain't good. Ron is good at face pulling though.

mayemerald · 28/12/2016 20:53

YANBU

I caught a bit of it yesterday. Like watching a school play.

Fairylea · 28/12/2016 20:53

Yanbu. But with the story and special effects I doubt anyone notices much...!

The films are so long I always fall asleep. Blush

CloudPerson · 28/12/2016 20:53

YANBU at all, the main three are fairly shit. Still watchable for the story though.

Eevee77 · 28/12/2016 20:54

Daniel Radcliffe is just a terrible actor. Not a single word sounds convincing. I don't mind Emma Watson but I think Rupert Grint is the best.

IfartInYourGeneralDirection · 28/12/2016 20:55

I've not seen any before this week, I can't get over how much of the book they miss out.
I know you can't fit everything into a 2h film but major plot threads are not there

ArmySal · 28/12/2016 20:55

Harry is bad throughout, the way he says "it's the place to be tonight" in the Half Blood Prince makes me burst out laughing.

TartYvette · 28/12/2016 20:55

I hate the films, love the books and the new illustrated books (two out so far) are much more in line with how I imagined the characters and places.

RandomDent · 28/12/2016 20:55

The acting is terrible. As is the script and plot.

Sybys · 28/12/2016 20:56

I remember watching the first one (still the only one I've seen) as a youngster when it was first released, and thinking Daniel Radcliffe's acting was as bad as I had ever seen - even his walking was uncomfortable and unconvincing.

Don't really remember the other two.

IfartInYourGeneralDirection · 28/12/2016 20:57

I do find snape oddly attractive though

I'd polish his wand anytime
