Just sat down to wrap Christmas presents and start prep for Christmas Dinner. Poured myself a glass of red and cracked open a chocolate orange. What the hell has happened to it???? The segments are tiny and appeared to have been slightly hollowed. The flavour appears to have been mondelez'd

They taste horrible now. Nothing like they used to, and there's no longer that delicious wodge of chocolate in the middle that held the whole thing together

There's no wodge in the middle, merely a thin spindle like affair, as I discovered to my absolute horror when the OH bought five on the cheap the other day and I had one for lunch. That's normal, right? It doesn't taste awful, but it's not the same. :(

Chocolate + citrus fruit is wrong - I've never liked them.

Oddly, this has made me feel better as I ate a whole one today and didn't get the chocolate fix I was anticipating. I therefore continued with chocolate biscuits.

My husband is going to be very disappointed tomorrow, he always has one at xmas but no longer. The choc is crap and greasy, size is reduced and the middle is missing. Boooooo

Its the cheap nasty palm oil isn't it.? Co-op fair trade chocolate is free from palm oil, I was delighted to discover recently. Doesn't help you right now Op, sorry.

blowmybarnacles Yep, that'll be it. That's pretty much what did for Dairy Milk too. Makes it impossible to make modelling chocolate with dairy milk now too. Awful stuff and destroys habitats too

I had one yesterday (after very disappointing quality streets I posted about), thought it was same as normal, but now you've made me realise there was no middle widget. Gutted.
