it's the same for every single election. At least people are interested in current affairs.

I think people are quite capable of expressing themselves on social media and then going about their daily lives without issues. No grips needed.

Unless you live in a bubble then there is a very very strong possibility that the news today is going to impact upon your life in some way. It's not difficult to grasp that lots of people feel disturbed by it. Me included.
