I'd tell you, but you've probably never heard of them.

Dailymailisacrapnewspaper · 11/09/2016 22:16

Read the ladybird book of the hipster

Borough Market
Micro brewery
Thin- you cant be a hipster if you are overweight

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 11/09/2016 22:17

Fixed gear bikes
Checked shirts
£20 hand-whittled wooden spoons

helenatroy · 11/09/2016 22:19

They might run a coffee shop where one coffee costs about £15. They would look as though all their clothes came from a jumble sale but the outfit they are sporting probably cost the best part of a grand and a half. They're called things like Silas. If they don't run an organic coffee shop you'd struggle to explain to your mother what their job actually is. They probably live in Dalston and dream of a life in a NY suburb such as Williamsburg. They eat from food trucks and drink craft beer. They cycle, they don't ski.

It's Broadway Market not Borough Market!

olderthanyouthink · 11/09/2016 22:27

Youngish, slim men with beards, casually but expensively dressed, single-gear bikes, relaxed benign expression. Drink expensive artisan coffee in coffee shops with bikes on the walls and eat from street food vans called 'The Wandering Yak'. Favour organic and ethical products. Probably have trust funds.

SunshineOutdoors · 11/09/2016 22:32

I'm sure I recognise that board. Is it outside a cafe in York?

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 11/09/2016 22:34

You can find out if you are in danger of hipsteritis here

seasidesally · 11/09/2016 22:34

why single gear bikes ?
