To think my ex's fiancée is demanding too much?

Number20 · 26/08/2016 20:47

By saying that he shouldn't see me at all and that he should move house to be further away from me.

I know we've had our history but AIBU to think this is controlling behaviour?

Have you got children together? How much contact do you have?

sanctimomssuck · 26/08/2016 20:48

Depends if there are kids involved or not.

Does she have good reason to be concerned about anything?

AyeAmarok · 26/08/2016 20:49

Do you have shared DC?

It is a bit extreme, but do you care? Do you also have a relationship with him (in the platonic sense)?

How do you know she's demanding this?

JAN1996 · 26/08/2016 20:49

Well she's clearly threatened by you. What's happened for her to think that?

Number20 · 26/08/2016 20:52

He said my name at an inopportune moment.

No children. Yet

He's not demanding you move away but he sounds a tad dramatic.

AyeAmarok · 26/08/2016 20:53

No children. Yet

Well if you're still having sex with him that might be why his fiancée has a problem with you Grin

ItWentInMyEye · 26/08/2016 20:53

Oh dear. Was it her initial reaction to say these things?

BillSykesDog · 26/08/2016 20:53

Er, if your attitude is that you have no children 'yet' I can see exactly why she is keen to get away from you.

MeAndMy3LovelyBoys · 26/08/2016 20:53

Yet? Are you pregnant with his baby?
Or do you mean no children in general.

rollonthesummer · 26/08/2016 20:54

Do you still have a lot to do with your ex?

ScarletOverkill · 26/08/2016 20:54

How long has it been since you split?

Bailey101 · 26/08/2016 20:54

It doesn't sound controlling at all, it sounds like someone who wants different things to you.

TheWitTank · 26/08/2016 20:54

Um, so you are still hoping to have kids with him?!

Crisscrosscranky · 26/08/2016 20:54

Sorry- I just retread post - I thought it said ex fiancé!

She is being a bit controlling but does she have reason? The fact you know he said your name presumably during sex says that you are still close?

Number20 · 26/08/2016 20:56

TBH I think she's very controlling. They got engaged after one weekend away together. That can't be healthy can it?

The fact that you know so much about their relationship suggests that maybe the boundaries between you are a bit blurred. I'm friends with all my ex's but I think it's important to back off a bit once they are in a new relationship. Her shouldn't really be confiding in you about how she feels about you.

If you don't have children with your ex you don't need to have any contact with him.

Crisscrosscranky · 26/08/2016 20:56

P.S I do love a Friday night on MN for entertainment Grin

ToffeeForEveryone · 26/08/2016 20:56

He's your ex and you don't have kids (yet?? wtf Confused ) yet you are bothered what he does and where he lives? Usually people don't care when exes move on with their lives, that's the point of them being exes.

Sounds to me like the fiancee is picking up on something! Want him back op?

MeAndMy3LovelyBoys · 26/08/2016 20:57

What do you mean by "yet"?

Vixxfacee · 26/08/2016 20:58

No you sound like a problem.

Bailey101 · 26/08/2016 20:58

The updates were posted while I was typing. I would want to move away form you too if you were planning children with my fiancé Hmm

Number20 · 26/08/2016 20:59

His sister is my best friend. That's how I know this stuff. Truth be told I do still love him. Do you think there's a chance for us? If he's still saying my name then surely he still loves me.
