I did an online shop but had no time to complete so booked my slot, put £40 worth of knobbly bobbly ice creams in the basket and checkout!

Went to complete my shopping and it wont let me change the order as I checked out at 2 mins past midnight!

So now I have 160 ice creams being delivered between 9am and 10am.

I thinking ill just accept the order and we can live on ice cream for a week.

AIBU?

I now have to go actually shopping with 2dc, fuck

headinhands that's exactly what we do too - two shops per week, although we have one slightly larger one at the weekend and another smaller one mid-week. Sometimes have to bulk out the mid-week one but always put in expensive household stuff like dishwasher tabs, washing powder, loo rolls and wine cleaning stuff. Good value for £6 delivery a month though!

And I've just had a nobbly bobbly (we had them in as I bought some at the weekend as I'd already bought some as they are on offer!

Destinysdaughter · 18/08/2016 20:47

Ive never had a nobbly bobbly

I obviously haven't lived!

Anyone got a spare? 😀😀

lalalalyra · 18/08/2016 20:56

I'm so disappointed there was no subs! After filling my trolley with multipacks of cokes and the kids thinking it was Christmas when it came I now do the loo roll fill up.

I don't do as many online orders now since local Asda didn't have any of the cat food we used so subbed it (when it was snowing to add to the annoyance) with bloody dog food! The delivery driver was mortified, but it wasn't much comfort when I had to trek out in it.

AnnieOnnieMouse · 18/08/2016 22:24

So nearly me! I changed my mind about an expensive item just before checking out yesterday, for today's delivery, so upped my order for sugar and milk, to keep it as a free delivery, planning to alter the order last thing - then fell asleep.
Thankfully it's long life milk, and sugar lasts for ever!

Masketti · 18/08/2016 22:44

DH also ordered 1 mushroom Grin He thought he was being super clever because he'd been buying the boxes but only using half so ordered half the weight but loose. Yeah nope. He sheepishly recounted the story as to why my pork, pepper and mushroom kebabs were a bit light on mushrooms. Totally pissed myself. Still love rolling out the story.

CheeseAtFourpence · 19/08/2016 07:18

I'm sure I may have crossed paths with a fellow mumsnetter yesterday as we both reached for a pack of nobbly bobblies!

Never had them before but was inspired to try them.

Aeroflotgirl · 19/08/2016 07:37

Or when they are delivered, send them back with the driver, telling him you made a mistake and you would like a refund.

husbandnet · 19/08/2016 17:24

DW once bought 24 kilos of brussel sprouts with Tesco online. Meant 24 individual ones.
The guy brought four kilos saying "I knew no one wants 24 kg of sprouts, but I had to bring some just in case" He took the unwanted ones back no problem.

LazyDoll · 19/08/2016 17:47

This made me lol. And others responses too - especially the single mushroom and 24kgs of Brussels!
I always chuck a bottle of champagne in to reserve my slot...have always remembered to remove it ...but quite looking forward to when I don't!!

MrsFrisbyMouse · 19/08/2016 17:53

After Baby2 went away for 1 night with some girl friends. Set up shop to arrive for husband in the morning after my departure, put in filler items to reserve the slot and promptly forgot about it.

Very confused phone call from DH to check if I meant him to feed the children on the bottle of gin and 20 cans of sardines I'd just had delivered....

Leaspr · 19/08/2016 17:55

Haha! Been there! I often just book a slot and fill it to the £40 mark and check out - planning to change it later on. That way I know I've got a slot that I want. I made the same mistake a few weeks ago though! Forgot to go and change it all and didn't realise until after midnight. I just transferred all my money in to my savings account so my current account was empty and they cancelled it due to lack of funds! I felt guilty about it but couldn't afford to just buy all that junk food when I needed other, healthier items much more!

Ivechangedmyname1 · 19/08/2016 17:57

Lol at all the responses! Well dh has had to go to tesco and get some fucking ice cream because the 1 pack I took in wasn't enough lmao.

I love this thread 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

bunnyfuller · 19/08/2016 18:14

I bought 8kg of carrots once, rather than 8. There were a LOT of carrots.

pinkunicornsarefluffy · 19/08/2016 18:19

Ekefox I did the same with vodka too once, ordered 3 bottles just to reserve the slot for delivery as didn't have time to do a full shop, then forgot to go online again to do the proper order! I felt a right idiot alcoholic when the delivery driver turned up the next day Grin.

LittleBeautyBelle · 19/08/2016 18:27

Love this! I say embrace it! Smile

bluebell4 · 19/08/2016 18:30

Let that be a lesson that you should always check out to save a slot with an expensive bottle of champagne :)

HiddlestonTurnerSandwich · 19/08/2016 18:34

This made me laugh!! Done similar with carrot overload (made about a cauldron's worth of carrot soup).... Next time blame it on dodgy internet not letting you change order.....or build a nobbly bobbly towering shrine... :)

midsomermurderess · 19/08/2016 18:39

160 ice creams, and the weather has just turned to shit! Grin

Lemonlady22 · 19/08/2016 18:56

i ordered a chocolate cake.....and got one slice of cake.....to small for even a toddler let alone my husband!

Tinklewinkle · 19/08/2016 18:58

I did this one Christmas.

Bunged a load of wine in my basket and checked out as I wanted a Christmas Eve slot but didn't have time to do a proper shop.

Then we had a massive and last minute change of plan and ended up going to my Mum's. I forgot all about it until it arrived

Grittyshunts · 19/08/2016 19:14

Grin brilliant

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/08/2016 19:25

Why is it always carrots? I ended up once with enough carrots to feed an army make about a dozen carrot cakes.

75daisies · 19/08/2016 19:35

What is a nobbly bobbly icecream? (Missing whole point of thread)

spiderlight · 19/08/2016 19:45

I somehow managed to end up with 7.5 kilos of oven chips once. That's a lot of oven chips, and we don't have a very big freezer! Also once had one sprout in a bag, and on another occasion a solitary apricot.
