We are arguing.

It's an 18. Graphic violence and nudity and a fuckton of swearing.

DD1 of course is claiming that Eeeeevverrryyyyooonnnnne has seen it.

Has anyone seen it? Is it really that bad? I wouldn't mind watching it myself but I don't think we should let her.

I was really surprised that Deadpool wasn't an 18 certificate with the language, explicit bloody violence and full frontal nudity. I absolutely loved it (I'm a big comics fan), but I wouldn't really be comfortable with an under 15 watching it.

I watched loads of 18 rated films as a kid, and played a lot of violent games, but it does feel like what would have been an 18 back in the 80s/90s would be an 18 now! Or maybe I'm just getting old! :D

Yeah the film is well good

But... Tiny hands Shock

My son is 13. Anything with an 18 rating (films and games) has a blanket ban. He won’t be watching Deadpool anytime soon! Films with 15 ratings are discussed on a case by case basis. He is allowed to play 16 rated games. All his friends play GTA which I find a bit shocking but i am not budging.

Age ratings are for a reason !!

Considering the date the thread was originally dated, I dont think the age restriction applies to the OPs daughter any longer.

I don't get what's a big deal about it. Yes, sweary, but nothing that a very 12yo wouldn't have heard at school already. Not ideal but not harmful.
