Beach-ready 'down there'

mumoseven · 01/06/2016 12:38

Did I really just see an advert for some razor, where a woman was coyly telling a story about getting naked at a BBQ and was worried about being BEACH READY DOWN THERE?
WTF?

averylongtimeago · 02/06/2016 00:18

64%

OutToGetYou · 02/06/2016 00:18

64% now but the others aren't going down, so they are breaking the laws of mathematics, which is just another crime!

bellabelly · 02/06/2016 00:24

MUST. Go. To. Bed. Might just vote another couple of times... Grin

APlaceOnTheCouch · 02/06/2016 00:24

OutToGetYou I love your DP is working on a code Grin

We're on 64%

mrsfollowill · 02/06/2016 00:26

64% au naturel v 36% all the other 'styles' combined (19% all off) good result much confusion tomorrow I think Grin

RegentsParkWolf · 02/06/2016 00:26

65% I did vote 8 times though.

bellabelly · 02/06/2016 00:27

AdjustableWench · 02/06/2016 00:27

Ah, 65%. I have a meeting early in the morning, damn it! Have to go to bed.

Baconyum · 02/06/2016 00:30

Yep 65%

Plus an email telling em to sort their shit spelling Grin

SapphireSeptember · 02/06/2016 00:43

Yesss! It's 66% now (sleep is for the weak!) I've been voting too, and reading this thread, which I've been trying to giggle quietly at because everyone else is in bed.

Anyway, I'm 27 and managed to miss the memo that I should be hairless, I trim bits off my pubes because I find I get itchy if it gets too long, but that's just my thing. My DH doesn't give a hoot. I'm wondering if I'll be brave enough to show my hairy legs this summer, I always wear light maxi skirts when it's hot.

dowhatnow · 02/06/2016 00:54

66%
There will be a lot of scratching of heads tomorrow.

SusanneLinder · 02/06/2016 01:02

Cant believe you lot made me vote for thisGrin. I prefer au naturelle. Canny be bothered. Am allergic to wax and veet, shaving is itchy, and wtf do you do with the shaved hairs.End up all over the bathroom😂

Akire · 02/06/2016 01:14

Just voted too! I'm all for a bit of a tidy but who hell shaves hearts or zig zags!!

doozie90 · 02/06/2016 01:16

Still 66%!

We need to keep this bumped!

homeiswheretheginis · 02/06/2016 01:20

Just voted. It such a load of bollocks. I can't quite believe I used to play along with the notion that fully grown women are sexier when their vaginas look like those of little girls. It's weird and, apparently, dangerous:

www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/physician-calls-for-an-end-to-bikini-waxing-8008628.html#

Fuck the marketing morons that came up with this (and their weird pouty mouthed tree woman - because a woman is nothing but the sum of her holes apparently...)

Akire · 02/06/2016 01:27

It's just another being woman is rubbish zone. Man and women decide to go swimming. Man puts on swim wear ready to go. Woman must shave arms legs tidy bicni area, this is usually vastly overgrown the small triangle of padding in swimwear-don't get that. add In the are you on your period are you likely to start stick a tampon up just incase woman is now ready to swim!

TheHoneyBadger · 02/06/2016 01:47

i took the insomniac shift and have bumped it up to 67%

LucyBabs · 02/06/2016 01:48

Just for me, my lady garden is out of control if I don't shave and wax. Possibly because I shaved and waxed as a teenager! It's like my head hair, if I didn't have it cut and styled regularly I would actually resemble Hagrid not a good look for me

I'll vote for au natural but I don't get rid of my body hair because I feel it's disgusting. I just don't like it. I'm under no pressure from a partner but if I'm not trim and tidy I feel dirty sorry not sorry

TheHoneyBadger · 02/06/2016 01:51

you don't think it's 'disgusting' but it makes you feel 'dirty'?

ParanoidGynodroid · 02/06/2016 01:57

Do what makes you happy, LucyBabs, of course you should.

It's this increasing pervasive message that women OUGHT to remove hair and are disgusting and unattractive if they don't that is so worrying, not women making their own choices.
Anything is fine - bush, trim, whatever - but it's for the pubic hair owner herself to decide, not society, fashion, a partner or Wilkinson bloody sword.

LucyBabs · 02/06/2016 02:15

Yes it makes me feel unclean, I don't think pubic hair is unclean though iykwim?

I've never been told I should be hair free, it's just my personal preference.

Absolutely paranoid it shouldn't be about fashion or what a partner thinks. I'll encourage my dd to do what feels right for her when the time comes..

HelenaDove · 02/06/2016 02:19

There was a thread on here a few years back where a woman posted about a painful (i think its called a Bartholins cyst) and her DH said it was because she didnt shave "down there"

A lot of us were disgusted that he was trying to manipulate his wife while she was in pain into shaving for his sexual preference. Hmm

FayKorgasm · 02/06/2016 07:02

68% this morning. Get your clippers off my bush.

HemlockStarglimmer · 02/06/2016 07:08

This is fantastic! It's the first thing I looked at this morning Grin
