To find this sign hilarious?

There is a sign on the door of my GP surgery that says:
"Please do not post samples through the letterbox".

Grin

I just keep wondering if there's a story behind it? Presumably someone has actually posted urine/stool samples through after hours (who does that?). Has someone trodden in them?

Or perhaps someone posted a dog turd through (one only needs to read the reviews to know which GP that'd be aimed at...) and they are being super polite or naive referring to it as a "sample"?

Is it just me? I had to sit there in the waiting room trying not to laugh out loud, which made it worse...

Haha! My favourite sign at a local theme park said 'please do not push other people's children on the tea cups'
as if I would even do that

There's a sign outside an office building in my town saying "please be aware of suicidal cyclists on the pavement" Confused

I'm assuming that this was made by somebody who thinks it's a 'hilarious' way to say "cyclists may move into the path of vehicles without warning"?

Oh, temptation... they are asking for all manner of "samples"... (it's just me, isnt it? Grin)

There is a lap dancing type place near us and the sign on the front door says "entry through the rear only" which makes me laugh in a fnar fnar ride way.

In my office:

The paper towel dispensers are no longer filled, please use the hand dryers.
Then another sign directly below it:
The hand dryers ae out of order. Please use paper towels.
(There were no paper towels)

Also, one in work kitchen
These microwaves are only to be used to prepare food.

These notices went up about a month ago. I'd love to know what someone put in a microwave to trigger these.

I would imagine that someone dropped a urine sample through the door, and it wasn't closed properly so pee went all over the floor.

Bikerunski - that's fucking with your heads, the drier situation!
Microwave, less so. My brother tried to dry a wet newspaper in ours at home - luckily it had only just caught fire when he realised, so didn't ruin the microwave nor burn down the house, but it could have.

People pop them through all the time. The issue is when they do it over the weekend. You have no idea how long they've been there, and there's no point sending off a sample that was shoved through on Friday night.

There is one close to where I live which says "Please close this gate at all times" and I always wonder if they expect me to stand there for ever and close the gate constantly.
