To admit I don't think my baby is cute?

Had an HD scan this morning at 27 weeks.

Baby is all good, still a girl 😂 And weighing 2lb7.

But she looks like me 😩 She has my chin and nose, and she was frowning like her daddy. She didn't had cute chubby cheeks etc like my other two did on theirs.

She looks like she's gurning in every picture 😒
I'm awful aren't I. 😐

She's going to be very squashed in there - I'm sure things will smooth out once she's out!!!

She's still in utereo! That's no one best angle! She'll be beautiful.

( although I did come on here to admit that my eldest daughter was downright ugly for nearly the whole of her first year. She's grown into herself and is actually beautiful now- but my god what an ugly baby she was! )

Mine wasn't cute when he was out of the womb either. I never looked at him when he was a baby and said "he is beautiful". But I still loved him just as much. And had absolutely no difficulty in bonding. And he has grown into a rather handsome young man.

There's a video recording of me holding DS2 just after he was born and saying "he's not as cute as DS1"! He is a gorgeous little boy and I can't believe I even said it, let alone on video!

Your baby will be beautiful.

DS2 was "a bit plain" when she was born, in the words of DF. It's true, she was.
She blossomed though and is lovely nowSmile

My first words to DS1 was 'he is so ugly!' He is a nice looking little four year old now and I still loved him!

I don't know how you can tell.

Scans make all babies look as creepy as fuck to me.

I said my dd looked like Sloth from the Goonies when she was small Grin Absolutely beautiful now!!

Oh and my ds looked like a miniature version of my Dad on a 4D scan which was not good!!

My DS looked ugly in the 3d scan. He is gorgeous in real life.

Dd2 looked like an evil flea baby and I wasn't impressed.

I then had one when I was 31 weeks and I was amazed at how much she had filled out.

When you see your baby for the first time you will over the moon with her. Can you show us a pic?

Argh I had a 4D scan once, oh my, my baby did not look cute, in fact the words slightly repulsive would not be over stating the case :) Didn't bear any relation to how she looked when she arrived and wasn't squashed up in a bubble though :)

This was dd2. Her head was too big to come out of my foof! It was massive 😂😂

Those 4d scans are bloody creepy they look like little squished aliens she will be beautiful when she is out and unsquished. I had a prem baby I didn't think she was cute I thought she looked like a defrosted chickenGrin

😂😂😂😂😂 aw bless her! I'm 14 weeks pregnant and Defo going to wait till 31 weeks again. Before that they are just too skinny.

She will honestly look like an angel when born. What day at the time? I wasn't happy with my 'evil flea baby' at the time 😂😂 X

She's your third. I imagine you're simply starting to feel more practical about the whole thing and a little less about the smooshy faced magic.

My daughter was born without eyebrows and eyelashes. We called her George Dawes.

None of them are cute in the 3D scans!! I came on the thread to sympathise as my dd2 was such a weird looking baby for months after she was born... She's adorable now she's nearly two but I didn't spend at least 8 months having to explain that she was a girl baby and not some weird form of fur-less primate.

I messaged my sister and said she has my nose and she said "yeah I noticed" 😐😐😂😂

The more I look at her the more I think oh she's so cute! But then I worry people don't see it 😂

My son looked like an angry potato with big ears for a month. He's 1 and absolutely gorgeous now.

They all look weird on those scans....it's just fun to see their basic features.
