I actually had a dream about this thread last night! Very good news. Will be watching for updates!

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 06/04/2016 11:07

Oh excellent news!

MunchMunch · 06/04/2016 11:11

Very good news! I'm so pleased things are moving quickly - even if the poo isn't!

You should be very proud of how you've handled this, instead of letting them fob you off you've pushed and fought for help for your dd. Well done.

Footle · 06/04/2016 11:20

Good luck Maemae. Good thoughts are with you.

MadisonAvenue · 06/04/2016 11:25

Excellent news - will be thinking of you all! Flowers

QuizteamBleakley · 06/04/2016 11:28

I've followed the thread from the outset and wanted to delurk to wish you the very best of luck. You've been amazing through this - as have both your girls. You should be very proud - of them and yourself. Flowers

MeanwhileHighAboveTheField · 06/04/2016 11:42

Good luck xx

MrsNutella · 06/04/2016 11:51

Hope you are in there soon and getting LittleMae more comfortable.

Glad they are doing a scan and plan to run diagnostics too. It won't be much fun I'm sure. And even if you don't get a diagnosis it will hopefully answer and put all the questions to bed and give you confidence in a maintenance regime when you get there. Thanks

QuimReaper · 06/04/2016 12:29

Oh hurrah, this is going to be great! MiniMae will have fun at the hospital I'm sure, she may not like the idea of it but the novelty will make it into an adventure [smily]

PotOfYoghurt · 06/04/2016 12:52

Woohoo, hope things progress smoothly!

BustingOut · 06/04/2016 13:01

Glad you are FINALLY being listened to . All the best for a smooth and comfortable hospital stay Flowers

Chimchar · 06/04/2016 14:51

Sorry you're having to go into hospital, but as you are very aware, it'll be for the best.
Hope you are all comfortable and that poor littleMae gets sorted soon.

Good luck! X

Hissy · 06/04/2016 17:05

Thinking of you both and fingers crossed they find out what's going on xx

littlemaemae · 06/04/2016 17:27

Thank you again for the lovely messages.
DD is fast asleep.
The X-ray showed a very big back up of poo. And no gas in an area where there usually should be (blockage?)
So the action with be the strongest enema they can give her and pico sulphate.
Also had lots of blood tests done and awaiting results.
We are going to have the other tests done by the gastro specialist in Leicester. But I don't know when.
Xx

Whereareyousleep · 06/04/2016 17:36

So glad you finally got the X-ray and shows you were right and she did need it to show that there is probably a blockage. Hopefully she will get sorted now and you should at least get the blood results quicker while you are in hospital. Hope she has a settled night and you get some sleep Thanks

AnyFucker · 06/04/2016 17:39

better late than never < sigh >

GreenMarkerPen · 06/04/2016 17:42

good luck with everything.

3littlefrogs · 06/04/2016 17:42

I am very glad you eventually got the Xray.
Now everyone has a clear picture (literally) of the location and extent of the back up.
IMO it would have been safer to have done the Xray earlier.

I hope things go more smoothly for you from now on. There still needs to be further investigation into things like muscle tone problems. I think someone did mention hypermobility/ED syndrome up thread.

LaContessaDiPlump · 06/04/2016 17:42

Shame you can't wave the x-ray in the face of every HCP who said she didn't need one and shout 'What's this then - scotch mist?!', isn't it op...... I'd be tempted to do so but then I am a vengeful bitch Wink

I'd also email it to that twat of a GP with only the words 'FYI' and your daughter's name in the subject line

kelda · 06/04/2016 17:43

Glad there is finally something happening. Stay strong littlemaemae, you are doing great!

WhoAteAllTheDinosaurs · 06/04/2016 17:45

I don't think anyone was denying there'd be a lot of poo on the xray, just that it wouldn't necessarily change management.

MissMoo22 · 06/04/2016 18:04

I've been following this thread and am so glad you are finally getting somewhere with your LO.

Goingtobeawesome · 06/04/2016 18:24

defimitely let everyone know they were wrong who needs to know. Public service for the next sufferer.

My DD has issues and they were all dismissed in two minutes by a consultant who had never met her before. I immediately emailed our GP to inform him the consultant was wrong and DD does have all the issues she always had. Fucking consultants who think they know everything about everything.

summerdreams · 06/04/2016 19:13

So glad your dd is going to be treated finally.

Headofthehive55 · 06/04/2016 19:57

I agree who . I hope they do find a cause, and solution for you op.

It would be wonderful if it can be cleared with drugs / enemas.
