To think Burger King ripped me off today

I took the plunge and went through their drive thru today. Now I don't usually use Burger King and I wasn't sure what to order and felt a bit rushed as they where waiting for me to order and there was a car behind me so I quickly glanced over the menu and ordered a Bacon double Cheeseburger priced at Ialhtough in my haste I didn't really see the price.
Well when I took it out of the wrapper I coudnt believe it I thought perhaps they had mistakenly given me a childs burger it was that small.
I could have paid £1.49 at mcdonalds instead and it would have even tasted better.
What a complete utter rip off I feel cheated.
Anybody else had this disappointment at Burgerking.

Yes!!! It's very very expensive. It cost us almost £20 for two adult meals at a service station once. Would have been nearer £8 at McDonalds!

DrWhooves · 16/02/2016 18:54

I was there last week and thought it was expensive, the main meals seem to be around £6 compared to around £4 in McDonald's. I was impressed with their fancy drink machine though.

EastMidsMummy · 16/02/2016 18:54

No, they didn't rip you off. You bought something and didn't like it. Don't buy it again.

startingmylifeagain · 16/02/2016 18:54

I actually really like BK burgers, prefer them to McDs. Haven't had one for ages though so not sure of the price.
Are you sure they didn't mishear you and thought that you ordered a child's meal by mistake?

WorraLiberty · 16/02/2016 18:55

I don't eat at Burger King since they changed their fries

But I used to love the Whopper burger.

scribblegirl · 16/02/2016 18:55

3.99 is cheap for BK!

I went into one at the services during Xmas - we were making an epic trek! - and it cost us nearly £15 for two meals. We can cover a pizza express quick dinner on a voucher for that!

lakia · 16/02/2016 18:56

Honestly I was astounded lol I thought have I really just paid £3.99 for this.

X-post with Mrs there!

Aworldofmyown · 16/02/2016 18:56

I prefer their burgers, but they are bloody pricy!

I've made the same mistake op...their bacon double cheeseburger really IS tiny.

There is a decent sized version (which is the one I saw someone eating once, and what I thought i'd be getting) - think it's an XL bacon double cheeseburger? But a lot pricier probably!

RudeElf · 16/02/2016 18:59

Ordered in a rush, werent happy with results, typed in a rush, made mistake.

Maybe you just need to slow down?

RudeElf · 16/02/2016 19:00

Oh its a loler. Whoda thunkit.

poocatcherchampion · 16/02/2016 19:01

Dh is always reluctant to get bk as it is too expensive. Tightwad. It is delicious!

I really really want one now.

lakia · 16/02/2016 19:01

It's usually cheaper to buy a meal. Dp and I went to kfc. He has a meal which was £4.49. I had just a burger that was £3.49!!

lakia · 16/02/2016 19:02

Yes probably my own fault just went on the op I thought I would be getting the whopper size

MrsTedMosby · 16/02/2016 19:03

The bacon double cheeseburger XL is the one you needed. Their prices differ depending on where you are - service stations are an expensive rip off.

I don't go that often, honest!

lakia · 16/02/2016 19:03

There is always one isn't there

We stopped going to Burger King when they repeatedly gave us chicken nuggets that were so over cooked the children couldn't physically eat them.
The Ocean Catch they used to do years ago was lovely, though. Think it stopped in about 1998 Sad.

ENormaSnob · 16/02/2016 19:08

Mcds all the way here Grin

RudeElf · 16/02/2016 19:10
