Maybe I'm late on this one, but one of her latest singles is amazing

She seems to be very grounded despite being a child star and got down to virtually nothing in the bank to buy her artistic freedom.

Well she's obviously a talented woman but I can't see the attraction in that song at all.

The video looks like an advert for cereal and the song's forgettable.

She seems to be copying channelling Shakira there.

I remember when Amy Winehouse was at the height of her popularity she was appearing on an awards show to sing, Joss Stone was on the same show and came on before her and burst into song, singing 'Rehab'. From then on I just disliked her.

Do she still have the mid Atlantic drawl?

She comes across as rather affected. She was on Radio 2 a few months ago and sang Uptown Top Ranking, in a Jamaican accent. It was so cringe worthy.

I don't like her but can't put my finger on why, she just seems a bit too...smug

I read an interview with her once in some gossip magazine where she said "if my boobs weren't as big as they are, I would want to have plastic surgery". I hate the fact that young girls might read that and think "my boobs are smaller than hers. If she were me she'd get surgery."

Such a stupid thing to say. And her music is just tuneless fake-soulful wailing.

I also found her voice very fake and put-on like she was a Stars In Their Eyes contestant or summit.

She seemed sweet when she first got famous and then went to America for a while and came back all embarrassing. I can't listen to her now as it makes me sal cringey

That Amy Winehouse thing was just cringe, cringe, cringe makingly embarrassing. It was a lot of the reason for the kibosh on JS's career.

She came on looking coked out of her nut and sang a bit of rehab and she genuinely seemed to think that she was a far better singer than Amy and was going to get a huge standing ovation. She appeared confused when there was complete silence. It was just painful.

That was in 2007, when she was still a teenager. She had been living in the states for most of her teenage life, I think it's forgiveable to pickup an accent.

That was cringe, but she was young.

Her latest album I really do think is fantastic, worth giving it a listen.

She's very enthusiastic and warbly I'll give her that.

Loved her first 2 albums but not keen since. Think she's got a v soulful voice and would be happy to listen to her new album if it's any good. Don't really get the hate tbh
