I'm a bit pissed. I made the fatal mistake of opening a second bottle of wine whilst watching the rugby. Now I've got the munchies. The only nice thing in the fridge is cheese. But it's the weekend and DS and DH will want cheese tomorrow.

Oh furck it. i'm going to eat it. Cheddar or feta first, heh?

Cheddar def! YANBU

Fatmomma99 · 18/09/2015 23:54

I go for the bad meat (kabanos pepperami, salami, etc)

Junosmum · 18/09/2015 23:54

Feta first. Save the good stuff for that last glass. Shops are open tomorrow and cheese is readily available!

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 00:01

It's never unreasonable to eat all the cheese.

Cheddar first then you'll be left with a lovely feta taste in your mouth.

You'll be having nightmares about coming back to the thread and it'll have all kicked off after someone suggested brie is better than a posh red leicester.

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 00:06

cheddar doesn't do it for me, and I'm a (proper) big cheese eater - my first paid regular job was in a specialist cheese shop. I know a LOT about cheese, and can more-or-less cut the weights people want without measuring, just by size!!!
(drives me mad at deli counters now! "will THIS do?"

katemiddletonsothermum · 19/09/2015 00:08

To throw a couple of curve balls in:

  1. I have parmesan
  2. I am actually eating toast. Without cheese. But lots of butter.

Grin at luring the cheese freaks out and then not having any.

I'm into apetina, which luckily is only a quid at Tesco at the min so I can have it all day every day when I want.

DoJo · 19/09/2015 00:29

I WANT MIMOLETTE! If anyone has a reliable source, please tell me where I can get some...

HarrietSchulenberg · 19/09/2015 00:41

I have just polished off the last half of camembert and moved onto cream cheese shovelled in with little rosemary flavoured crackers.
I say bugger the rest of them and eat the cheese.

donyourway · 19/09/2015 00:44

Depends if its goats cheese. In that case its all mine.

Wearyheadedlady · 19/09/2015 00:48

When drinking wine, parmesan can be consumed. Goes very nicely I think.

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 00:51

katemiddletonsothermum - no respect for you at all.

Who doesn't have parmesan? (I also have reserve, which I don't even count!)
You aren't using marmite
so (i hesitate to say, but must) you deserve a Biscuit with no goats cheese on top!

AgentZigzag, what is apetina?????? I need to know? I think I want/need some.

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 00:54

Wearyheadedlady is that a haiku? Gosh, you are clever!

Never managed to write one (I have done limericks for MN, does that count?)

If I'm REALLY pissed, I put it [Parmesan] in the microwave so it's all melty and plastic-y and it bubbles!

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 00:55

Apetina is like feta but better FM, I think they lace it with crack.

My mum's just come back from Rome and bought me back a parmesan brick, it's fucking HUGE!

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 00:56

Yes, I think that's what this thread needs FM, a decent cheese limerick.

Bumbledumb · 19/09/2015 01:02

Now I want some castelmagno. Even a little bit would do.

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 01:07

Apetina is supposed to be like feta
Except it's apparently better
I like a brie
I know that it's twee
I bet they're all nice with bruscetta!

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 01:09

oh god how I like to eat cheese.
And I wish I had thinner knees
I don't see the link
And my sweat don't half stink
But, OMG does it please!

(does that work?)

Shall I stop now?

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 01:10

Grin so true.

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 01:11

Hahahaha, no don't stop.

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 01:12

will you marry me?

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 01:15

People who don't like cheese are just inherently untrustworthy aren't they?

I bet hitler didn't like cheese.

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 01:16

Just imagine the ginormous wedding cheese cake we could have!

On those grounds alone, I accept.

AgentZigzag · 19/09/2015 01:17

And I don't mean a poncy sweet cheese cake, I mean a cake built from cheese.

Fatmomma99 · 19/09/2015 01:17

can we do separate Bridezilla threads?
