So mumsnet have recently changed the option to highlight both OP's and your own posts in a specific colour. They claim that only 8% of posters use this feature and hence it's unneeded.

I and some others disagree Grin So please if you would, can you answer the following questions for me? Either to protest the change or to support MNHQ, I don't mind, just interested in this 8%. Copy and paste your answer.

No discussion of the issue (if possible) - there are already two threads in Site Stuff about it. If you want to discuss it, here's one: Link

So firstly:
Do you use the highlight posts feature?

If yes
Yes, I tried it, but I didn't like it.
Yes, I use it on the desktop and mobile site but not the app.
Yes and I would like to keep it.

If no
No, I didn't know that you could do this.
Not interested in a highlighting option.
Only use the app and it's not an option on there.

Ta very much :)

uberalice · 05/08/2015 13:12

Yes please, it's a very useful feature.

froggyjump · 05/08/2015 13:12

yes and I would like to keep it - don't mind about choosing my own colours though, just to see OP's and my posts.

BertieBotts · 05/08/2015 13:12

It wasn't a temporary glitch. They intended to remove the option but leave it working for current users. In doing so they accidentally set it so that as soon as current users changed any option in customise, it also disabled highlighting.

Now they have brought it back but it's limited, the colour is chosen for you and it's the same for OP and for own posts, and they are still acting as though hardly anybody uses it whereas I find this hard to believe. In fact although I'm glad to see so many agree, I'm a little bit worried that there are only about three No votes.... I tried not to make this self selecting, but worried I have failed!

Link was in the OP but here's a longer one:

It hasn't gone, is it something they are considering? Stupid idea

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 05/08/2015 13:13

I've checked another thread and the OP s posts are still highlighted too in the colour I chose. I'm a bit confused.

IpsyUpsyDaisyDo · 05/08/2015 13:13

Yes and I would like to keep it.

DrElizabethPlimpton · 05/08/2015 13:13

Please keep it.

maz210 · 05/08/2015 13:14

No, I didn't know that you could do this.

I'd use it if they bring it back.

YouMakeMyDreams · 05/08/2015 13:14

Yes and I'd like to keep it.
It's needed on long threads.

pocketsaviour · 05/08/2015 13:14

Yes and I would like to keep it.

luckiestgirlintheworld · 05/08/2015 13:14

Yes and I would like to keep it.

But I don't care what colour- as long as the highlight option is available.

laineylou · 05/08/2015 13:14

Yes and keep it

angelicjen · 05/08/2015 13:14

Didn't know but had been wishing there was a way to find op's posts so please make it available on the app.

durhamgirl · 05/08/2015 13:15

Yes keep it, very handy

BertieBotts · 05/08/2015 13:15

To clarify, if you haven't changed anything in customise since yesterday, you'll still have your original settings. But as soon as you go into customise (which a lot of folk have as recommended by MNHQ in response to a Watched Threads change), you'll be reverted to the new singular option or have it removed.

OP posts:
gonerogue · 05/08/2015 13:15

Yes and would like to keep it

allinall · 05/08/2015 13:15

I don't use it but only because I always use the app, where it is not available. However, I would really like to use it! Can we have it on the app too please? Unlikely I suppose if MNHQ want to get rid of it altogether.

mickeysminnie · 05/08/2015 13:16

Yes and I would like to keep it.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 05/08/2015 13:16

That green is really horrible.

TeenageMutantNinjaTurtle · 05/08/2015 13:17

Yes I use it - I think I could happily live with my posts, OPs posts and mumsnet posts all being highlighted the same colour (I currently have them set to be different) but I'd be gutted if the highlighting went away altogether.
