Eh?

WayfaringStranger · 24/03/2015 21:42

Oooh are you the "we cook for our hubbies" thread person?

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 24/03/2015 21:45

Yes.

Buoyed by your success with the last thread OP? So you've got a slow cooker going in the living room? Cooking curry? Well that's going to permeate the house for a few days isn't it!

Gileswithachainsaw · 24/03/2015 21:47

or is it a slow cooker fan club. can I. join. I have 2 Grin

TongueBiter · 24/03/2015 21:48

I thought this was a "Milliband's Kitchens" type boast Grin

wanttosqueezeyou · 24/03/2015 21:50

Are you sure the other wives do the cooking and its not just you?

Is it possible the other husbands cook their own?

Enjoy your evening.

Debinaround · 24/03/2015 21:51

UABU

I really want a curry now. Especially that one in the slow cooker, it looks gorgeous.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 24/03/2015 21:58

I'm not going to answer any more questions.

Apart from this :- other wife texted back and said sorry it wasn't meant for me.

I don't know about how the goerge formby man does it.

If other people be it men women dog or cat want to cook I don't care

If it falls through, sell the stuff buy wine and eat a big fat take away.

Hmm
HookedOnHooking · 24/03/2015 22:01

If I cooked in the living room the dog would eat it.

bumbleymummy · 24/03/2015 22:03

I'm glad she apologised Piper. Your curry looks delicious :)

VanitasVanitatum · 24/03/2015 22:03

Have I just fallen through the looking glass?! What the hell is going on?!

bumbleymummy · 24/03/2015 22:04

Still think she was unnecessarily rude though - even if she was talking about you to her DH.

Gileswithachainsaw · 24/03/2015 22:05

No idea. I thought it was a slow cooker thread seems there's something we don't know here

Seriouslyffs · 24/03/2015 22:05

I think sharing the cooking of one big meal for all of theis a great idea. I can also see why the new mans partner was Hmm about being asked to join.

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 24/03/2015 22:05

Thank you been at it since 11am took me around 3 hours prep.

Coming to think of it, I think MN is right and it's impossible for every wife/partner to do this. I bet it gets out sourced.

TwinkieTwinkle · 24/03/2015 22:10

How do you make a curry in a slow cooker? I only just got one and really want to know! When I usually make a curry I fry all the spices first, so how does that work in terms of a slow cooker?

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 24/03/2015 22:13

What I do is keep the veg raw, brown off the meat with the spices.

Add your sauce cook on low ( 8 hours)if you are going out or on high (4 hours) if staying in

Tallulahhulahula · 24/03/2015 22:14

Well. This is exciting. Still think the partner made a good call!

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 24/03/2015 22:15

I also do.

OttiliaVonBCup · 24/03/2015 22:15

What's the point of starting a thread if you're saying you're not going to answer any more questions?

TwinkieTwinkle · 24/03/2015 22:17

Thank you! Will give it a bash on Friday. It's so sad how excited I am to try it Blush
