Petition to dump Jeremy Clarkson permanently

ClumsyNinja · 11/03/2015 16:14

I can't believe anyone would sign a petition calling for that idiot to be re-instated. Anyone have a link to a petition calling for him to be permanently banned by the BBC?
He's a global knob of the highest order!

No idea but I'll sign it!!

hiddenhome · 11/03/2015 16:16

Yes, I would sign too. Rascist pig.

cashewnutty · 11/03/2015 16:18

I suspect he has signed a one punch petition all by himself to be permanently banned.

FirstWeTakeManhattan · 11/03/2015 16:23

I would sign.

SuggestmeaUsername · 11/03/2015 16:25

haha I was just about to start a thread on this as my opinion is that I cant understand why thousands of people would sign a petition to have him reinstated despite the fact that he has been suspended for violent behaviour.

seems like double standards here.

I have seen Topgear on occasion and reasonably enjoy it and understand that it is a popular programme worldwide and makes the BBC a lot of money and also that Clarkson is hugely popular.

However, we should not turn a blind eye to violent behaviour even if the person is hugely popular. We should not allow it to be acceptable in any circumstance.

Icimoi · 11/03/2015 16:27

But it's pointless petitioning for him to be dumped, as the reality is that ITV or Sky would sign him up in a heartbeat.

HeeHiles · 11/03/2015 16:27

I signed one this morning on change.org - I'll find the link

Patchworkpatty · 11/03/2015 16:37

interestingly the dump Jeremy petition has just over 2500 signatures vs over 350k ..but what I find most peculiar is that anyone would sign a petition NOT KNOWING one way or tother what he has done. I for one would have differing views of someone who , provoked, kicked something in anger which then accidentally hit someone versus someone who stamped on smothered head in anger for not getting their way ... very strange 'herd' mentality

Lovemycatsandkids · 11/03/2015 16:40

Well I wouldn't sign yours or the other as I have no idea of the facts.

calmexterior · 11/03/2015 16:43

Not sure about the latest incident but he should have been sacked over the Falklands thing. I don't believe him for one second that it was a coincidence.

ClumsyNinja · 11/03/2015 16:56

Thanks HeeHiles. I've signed it now.

I can't believe anyone can support such an arrogant twat of a man. He's consistently proven what a vile individual he is and the BBC shouldn't use taxpayers money to employ him.

Surely it is up to the BBC. He's their employee.

I think he's very entertaining. If you don't enjoy watching him, then change channels.

850Pro · 11/03/2015 17:02

what was the problem with the Falklands thing?

HeeHiles · 11/03/2015 17:16

Surely it is up to the BBC. He's their employee.

He's self employed

If you don't enjoy watching him, then change channels

I don't watch him however my licence fee pays his salary so I am entitled to my view.

HelenaDove · 11/03/2015 17:20

A lot of people ive seen supporting him are parents. ive seen stuff shared on fb and elsewhere about how "brilliant" he is.

What message does that send out to children and young people.

Imagine how a child or teenager being bullied at school is going to feel seeing the support for this individual.

They are going to feel like there is no hope and that to have to put up and shut up is normal.

hiddenhome · 11/03/2015 17:20

Signed.

vestandknickers · 11/03/2015 17:25

Of course you are. As a fellow licence payer, so am I and I like him!

850Pro · 11/03/2015 17:26

He brings in way more money into the BBC than its costs for him...

Thisissomething · 11/03/2015 17:27

Hoping someone would do this! Signed!

hiddenhome · 11/03/2015 17:34

"He brings lots of money in"..........Mmm, where have I heard this before? Hmm

Finbar · 11/03/2015 17:36

Quite hiddenhome

Sparklingbrook · 11/03/2015 17:36

How many JC bashing threads do we need? Confused

ExitPursuedByABear · 11/03/2015 17:40

Just don't look Sparks! Have you told your DS yet?

hiddenhome · 11/03/2015 17:41

Just shows how strongly some people feel Sparkling

I think it was the nasty complaint about rail suicides that made me angry. Now the endless racism.
