Petition to dump Jeremy Clarkson permanently

ClumsyNinja · 11/03/2015 16:14

I can't believe anyone would sign a petition calling for that idiot to be re-instated. Anyone have a link to a petition calling for him to be permanently banned by the BBC?
He's a global knob of the highest order!

Signed. He should have gone over the racist incident.

hazeyjane · 11/03/2015 17:50

To be honest I'd have signed before this incident. It fucks me off no end the BBC give air time to someone who has made racist, disabilist, mysoginistic and xenophobic remarks throughout their career.

Viviennemary · 11/03/2015 17:53

Because the other petition has been promoted. It's all a publicity stunt. Of that I'm now convinced. He should be sacked like most people would be for brawling in the workplace.

engeika · 11/03/2015 17:54

No. I don't believe in witch hunts. There was an incident at work. It will be investigated.

ClumsyNinja · 12/03/2015 09:04

Now David Cameron is whining about his suspension.

Shame on him and incredibly stupid now there's an election looming. Just shows how desperate he is to join the popularity bandwagon.

So people like Rolf Harris misbehave at work and suffer the consequences. Why should this not happen to Jeremy Twerp?

vestandknickers · 12/03/2015 16:27

I think Rolf Harris's actions were a little more serious!

fluffymouse · 12/03/2015 18:17

I agree that unless we know for sure what has happened then it is impossible to form an opinion.

SansaUndercover · 12/03/2015 18:30

Tbh give Top Gear is so popular, I can't see the bbc not showing it with no good reason. I agree there should be a proper work place investigation before any dismissal or termination of contract, but equally there seems to be thousands of people willing to ignore Jeremy Clarkson potentially assaulting someone. It's not a less serious crime because it was someone he happens to work with.

If he has hit/pushed someone, there's no way the BBC can ignore it and reinstate him, no matter how valuable he is.

londonrach · 12/03/2015 18:34

no!!!!! im signing the other petition now as without clarkson theres no need for the bbc, and its all your fault op!!! I hope you are proud.

fearandloathinginambridge · 12/03/2015 19:58

Rolf Harris 'misbehaves' Shock

Irelephant · 12/03/2015 20:07

Has someone really just compared a punch up to sexual abuse?

I like him personally.

Pastaeater · 12/03/2015 20:35

You like Jeremy Clarkson Irelephant or you like Rolf Harris???

Irelephant · 12/03/2015 21:42

Clarkson Confused I don't tend to like child abusers as a general rule!

Pastaeater · 12/03/2015 22:19

But you are happy with sexist racist bullying oafs?? Just wondered.

andango · 15/03/2015 07:29

Signed.

straighttothepoint · 15/03/2015 07:34

Jeremy clarkson is a dick but quite funny and without him, top gear won't bring in the money.

Why the fuck is the bbc using a helicopter to take prople from filming to hotels? Waste of money, inappropriate and just yet another reason to stop the licence fee. Bbc sucks.

straighttothepoint · 15/03/2015 07:34

And liking him to saville makes the bbc look even more of a blundering idiot.

Sparklingbrook · 15/03/2015 07:58

I can't believe they are comparing him to JS.

Crocodopolis · 15/03/2015 09:10

I've signed the petition.

Sparklingbrook · 15/03/2015 09:13

There should be a petition to dump the BBC.

Koalafications · 15/03/2015 09:17

So people like Rolf Harris misbehave at work and suffer the consequences.

Shock Angry

Really?? You think sexual abuse is 'misbehaving at work'?!

Sparklingbrook · 15/03/2015 09:26

I don't know what to believe any more WRT who said what.

lostincumbria · 15/03/2015 09:32

Straight - I doubt there's a penny of licence fee spent on Top Gear. It earns far more money in global sales and licensing than it costs to shoot.

Capricorn76 · 15/03/2015 09:32

Re the BBC Saville comment. I believe they worded it clumsily but I believe what they were trying to say is that this celeb worship is why Saville got away with his crimes. Letting people get away with stuff, holding them to different standards and turning a blind eye to bad behaviour ultimately leads to high powered celebs literally getting away with everything. Another example is Teddy Kennedy's involvement in the death of a woman. He wasn't even fined due to who he was. We should learn from mistakes around the fear to challenge the behaviour of 'stars'.

I'm not saying he hit the guy, I wasn't there and the investigation's ongoing. However, I find it deeply worrying that nearly 1million people rushed to sign a petition for him to stay not knowing if was guilty of something they would've been marched straight out of work for with the added bonus of police involvement. Nobody else would tolerate being bullied and assaulted at work. The poor producer and his family have even received death threats from morons who JC would not piss on if they were on fire despite his 'man of the people' image.

I hate celeb culture and I hate the way he's being portrayed as such a victim. He's got the backing of The Sun, Murdoch empire, the Prime Minister and the whole of Chipping Norton. He will be fine. Meanwhile the poor producer's practically had to go into hiding. I have read awful online attacks against the producer.
