Just so rude and bloody annoying! Is it just me? It's counter productive and putting me of fucking Center Parcs for life!

I was just thinking the same thing! I've never wanted to go and this is putting me off even more - I might even have to shut down mumsnet for the day too unless it goes away!

I've never been to a CP, but every thread on here about them is full of dire-sounding 'tips' which suggests it's far from enjoyable. It sounds like lot of money to be smuggling in groceries, rather than pay a premium at the on-site shop, and doing complex unloading manoeuvres so you don't have to schlep your worldly goods across five miles of forest...?

I don't need an annoying strap message to remind CPs exist, plus I can't get rid of the thing! Shall desist from MNtting for a couple of days til it's cleared off my screen. Bahhhhh!

Unsure as to why everyone who hasn't actually stayed there insists it is crap....

I thought it was nice when we went first time last November. It's far from a shed and I did buy all my groceries from the onsite mart.

And not sure what is it about a lot of forests with your luggage. You park in front of your lodge on check in and out day.

I'm not insisting its crap - I have no idea. I only heard of CP since being on MN, and I looked up the prices and was a bit taken aback, as I'd assumed from what people said about it on here that it was about cheap, low-key self-catering holidays.

Don't you stay in chalets or log-cabins?
