Just so rude and bloody annoying! Is it just me? It's counter productive and putting me of fucking Center Parcs for life!

OP posts:
SasBel · 03/03/2015 13:35

On IOS Settings, privacy, limited add tracking, also can stop all popups. Never bothered by them. Even when completing a survey on adverts.....

Pagwatch · 03/03/2015 13:39

I've been to centre parks. It was [meh]
Some bits lovely, some bits not so much. The pool really did feel like an hour swimming in other peoples bodily fluids.

Even if I loved it, that ad would still be fucking irritating.

NotOnMyWatchOhNo · 03/03/2015 13:43

I've done that sasbel and it still pops up.

BeCool · 03/03/2015 13:52

what are you all talking about? I cant see anything at all.
perhaps they have taken it down?

BeCool · 03/03/2015 13:54

ah - I think I use pop up blocker (I never get pop ups)

Mymumstillreadsmymail · 03/03/2015 13:56

I have been - it was crap. Cannot understand people who think its great.

YesIDidMeanToBeSoRudeActually · 03/03/2015 13:58

Ooh I was just about to start a thread with the EXACT SAME WORDING!

But in capitals Smile

Taz1212 · 03/03/2015 14:01

I don't think I've ever seen such any annoying pop up. I close it, it pops up again on the next page. Seriously, centre parcs, do you really think this is going to entice anyone to book with you?

I'll go surf the DIS boards until it's safe to come back. Grin

Takver · 03/03/2015 14:05

Adblock plus is your friend, people Grin

Pasithea · 03/03/2015 14:06

What annoys me more is that we take hubby's kids and grand kids every year and now we have to go in holidays. It's 4 times as much. I expected twice as much but nearly 4 times is a rip off.

Lovemycatsandkids · 03/03/2015 14:08

Butlins for the middle classes.

Avoid at all costs as we can visit our local leisure pool, cycle in the woods and walk right here at home and it's free.

Absolute mugs to pay those prices. Utter rip off.

Nicknacky · 03/03/2015 14:09

It's so annoying when you go to close it on the X but the ad disappears at the same time so you click on the advert behind grrrr.

SomewhereIBelong · 03/03/2015 14:56

Absolute mugs to pay those prices

thanks Hmm ....

I am inclined to disagree.

4 person chalet Butlins Minehead in May holiday 4 nights/5 days £1185.00 (lake view costs more)
4 person executive chalet Center Parcs Longleat in May holiday 4 nights/5 days £995

So the like for like Butlins is just as much (so too BTW is the other MN favourite comparator of BlueStones)

(we are paying 2.5 times the end of Jan price for a 4 night/5 day stay in the May half term holidays - same mark up as most holiday companies)

SquinkiesRule · 03/03/2015 15:16

Firefox ad blocker does it for me, I never see any of these ads you speak of. Not that I want to. I looked at going to CP and can't afford it, so we'll go somewhere cheaper. I've been looking at hoseasons there are places on there with lodges and also swimming pools, so I'll probably go through them.

SomewhereIBelong · 03/03/2015 15:20

I use firefox too - I don't get any ads popping up... which suits me.

RandomNPC · 03/03/2015 15:22

I agree entirely, complete rip off

TwoLittleTerrors · 03/03/2015 15:41

I don't get any annoying pop ups because of ad blockers.

Seriously, those of you who are using chrome or firefox and still seeing ads need to install adblock plus.

JohnCusacksWife · 03/03/2015 15:45

What on earth is about Center Parcs that makes so many people sneer so much?

GymBum · 03/03/2015 15:51

YANBU. I am so irate do every time it pops up. MNHQ please get rid. I feel like I am getting spammed.. I really hate this type of advertising! Angry

Pagwatch · 03/03/2015 15:52

I normally have no opinions on centreparks but the bloody pop up.

GymBum · 03/03/2015 15:53

Irritated not irate do... Predictive text. Blush

NotOnMyWatchOhNo · 03/03/2015 19:59

How do I block it on my iPad? I've not been on mumsnet since I last posted come back on to check the ads gone and up it bloody pops!!! I'm leaving again it's doing my freakin head in. Aaaaaaaaaaargh.

MsMcWoodle · 03/03/2015 20:12

Thank god someone said it. I actually got some work done today as I couldn't bear to be on mumsnet with that bloody annoying advert.
It wouldn't seem to close it. It kept opening the site.
I hate the fuckers even more now.

WayfaringStranger · 03/03/2015 20:15

No idea why some MNers get so sneery about Center Parks. I went as a child, I remember it being nice enough.

Methe · 03/03/2015 20:25

It's always struck me as holidays for people with no imagination.

I feel the same way about butlins holidays too is it's not a class thing.
