If I've not explored CP the first time it popped up, then I'm not gonna be convinced to after the hundredth time it's appeared on my fucking iPad (and tried to X out of it and opened some other shite).

When I read the first few posts I assumed the advert was on TV, then it became obvious it was on MN. I've never seen it.

The answer is in your own hands - why on earth don't you use a free ad blocker?
