When we went to Italy they had a whole enormous aisle just for Nutella. They sold it in jugs.

Jugs

I still dream of that aisle.

What about marshmallow fluff that I keep -almost buying seeing?

I'm thinking digestive biscuits, thick layer Nutella, thick layer fluff. Bollocks to adding banana. That's fruit so fucks the whole thing up.

Just popping to the shop...

MERLYPUSSEDOFF · 03/03/2015 17:16

You need the stripey one from Lidls, it's much nicer.
On brown toast, with crunchy peanut butter and banana. Elvis sandwich.
Or on shortbread biscuits.

I have a jar of nutella here.

Ingredients

Sugar
Palm oil
Hazelnuts 13%
Fat reduced cocoa 7.4%
Skimmed milk powder 6.6%
Whey powder (milk)
Emulsifier: Lecithin (Soya)
Vanillin

Suitable for vegetarians

400g

Coumarin · 03/03/2015 23:45

Did someone ask for the recipe?

SlinkyB · 04/03/2015 07:26

I read the ingredients list on the jar last night too sole , and the nutrition information.

Then dived in with a breadstick. Then a spoon. Heaven.

I feel queasy reading this thread.

SoleSource · 04/03/2015 16:08

Palm oil again.

MirandaGoshawk · 04/03/2015 18:57

I had no idea it had palm oil in it Shock. but then everything seems to, it's hard to avoid. I don't want to be contributing to loss of orang utan habitat.

So I had a look online. In 2008 Greenpeace had a campaign to force Ferraro to reveal where their palm oil came from, and now their website says this:

As a member of the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), Ferrero only uses palm oil which is extracted from controlled plantations in Malaysia. - See more at: www.nutellafoodservice.com/About/FAQs/#sthash.FbJlqwJJ.dpuf

So that's OK Grin - pass the spoon!

piggychops · 04/03/2015 22:35

It's not just the sourcing.
Palm oil is hydrogenated and is really bad for you. It's also in cheap chocolate, lots of bakery items and processed food.
Anything labelled "vegetable fat" is also Palm oil. Start looking for it and you'll find it everywhere...

MarthaMonkeynuts · 04/03/2015 22:39

mash banana
add big dollop of nutella
microwave for 30 secs
devour
