Just doing the ironing and wondering if everyone irons boxers or I can get away with not ironing them hehe.

They are the loose fitting they do look slightly creased Confused

Simile · 25/01/2015 11:22

Why isn't he ironing them himself?

Only you and he are going to see them, plus they will wrinkle when he puts them on anyway so what's the point of ironing them in the first place?

RJnomore · 25/01/2015 11:23

A list of ways in which you are bu:

Use of the word hubby (aargh)
Doing another adults ironing for them
Ironing underwear
Needing to ask on here if YAbu

It's a Sunday morning though, I presume you are as bored as Iam!

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 25/01/2015 11:23

YABU. Why would it matter? Ironings for aesthetics. Unless he wanders round in his pants its an utterly pointless task.

Nolim · 25/01/2015 11:24

I have never ironed boxers.

ilovesooty · 25/01/2015 11:24

hehe

Hilarious Hmm

Why are you doing his ironing anyway?

AlpacaLypse · 25/01/2015 11:25

RJnomore has said it very eloquently already.

SauvignonBlanche · 25/01/2015 11:27

YABVU, for all the reasons outlined by RJnomore.

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2015 11:27

I've never ironed a pair of boxer shorts in my life.

To the people asking why she's doing his ironing, perhaps it's part of the chores they split down the middle?

PacificDogwood · 25/01/2015 11:27

Why on earth would anybody iron anybody's underwear??
Genuine puzzlement to me.

OP, YABU, big time.

bozo14 · 25/01/2015 11:28

RJ I find ironing boring any excuse to brighten it up.

OMG i actually didnt realise I shouldnt be doing hia ironing. He says he cant iron and I just do it ?!? He would look all creased otherwise...

I wondered if they would be more comfy if ironed?

OP posts:
HollyJollyDillydolly · 25/01/2015 11:28

Yabu no need to iron most things underwear.

BrandNewIggi · 25/01/2015 11:29

If your life is completely empty of meaning then go ahead..
On the other hand I have started folding pants (part of decluttering technique - I blame mumsnet!) so how can I talk.

Lweji · 25/01/2015 11:29

You clearly haven't read the thread with the bot fly. :)
Sometimes underwear should be ironed.

Big, badly creased boxers I might iron. Slightly creased, no.

SauvignonBlanche · 25/01/2015 11:30

If you find it boring why are you doing it? Hmm

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2015 11:30

Having now read your second post

If he claims he can't iron, teach him how to do it or let him creased clothes if he refuses to learn.

HTH

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2015 11:31

*wear creased clothes

magpieginglebells · 25/01/2015 11:31

I do iron for my husband but not his boxers. I iron for him as he does all the cooking, the hoovering and various other household tasks. It's called sharing the load isn't it?

dementedpixie · 25/01/2015 11:32

I only iron school stuff and dh's shirts (he makes my dinners so the least I can do is iron his shirts). I would never waste time ironing underwear, bedding or anything else really.

tumbletumble · 25/01/2015 11:32

I never iron any of DH's clothes so perhaps I'm the wrong person to ask. But I'd say NO don't do it!

msgrinch · 25/01/2015 11:35

what rj said.

Though I lost the will to live at the word "hubby"

Hatespiders · 25/01/2015 11:36

We don't iron anything at all except the odd shirt, trousers and my blouses. Dh does it all though. He loves ironing.
You do not need to iron any underwear. Nobody sees it. As long as it's clean that's all that matters.
I have a lunatic friend who actually irons her dh's socks!!! Socks!! Gaaaaah!!

If in Africa, iron everything. If not you could get a tumbu maggot living in your flesh. Ours was called Billy, but he has many relatives waiting for your unironed clothes...Grin

PacificDogwood · 25/01/2015 11:36

It's all in the hanging up of washing Grin - nothing in this house gets needs ironing. Grin

Bot fly infested areas may need an exception, I accept that….

gamerchick · 25/01/2015 11:36

I don't know where my iron is.

Insane to iron boxers though as yes he really should be doing his own ironing. Life's too short.

KatoPotato · 25/01/2015 11:37

Hope you starch them too.

I tell DH 'if you want clean knickers get them in the machine now!'

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2015 11:37

Hatespiders you do realise I will NEVER be able to un-read that now, don't you? Angry
