to love showering before bed

As a dedicated morning showerer, I'm newly converted to the delights of a pre bedtime shower. Getting into bed all fresh and clean, it's a real revelation! So do you favour AM or PM?

PM - nothing better than getting into bed after a shower, I secretly think it's rather grim to get into bed sweaty and mucky after a hard day at the coalface of childcare.

I like both, for different reasons.
Morning, face the day fresh.
Evening, snuggle down all clean, esp with clean sheets.

PM hate taking the grime of the day to bed wit me. And hate getting up in the morning!

Morning, definitely wakes me up

PM always. I was brought up doing it and can't really imagine going to bed with the grime of the day on me. And it saves so much time to not have to shower in the AM!

Always shower in the morning, unless I am really ill. Usually shower in the evening too unless I really can't be bothered. Can quite easily shower 3 times in a day if I'm changing after work to go somewhere (kids activities, school meetings) might as well take the whole minute it takes to freshen up before putting new clothes on. I am a bit obsessed with being clean though.

I always shower in the morning, to wash my hair & wake me up, but sometimes shower in the evening too if it's been a hot day or I've been exercising. I do like the feeling of getting into bed lovely & clean, but on balance prefer my morning shower.

I'm a newly converted night time showerer- first time tonight. I have changed through necessity, baby DS is no longer happy to chill out in his cot while I shower in the morning, but I was just lying here enjoying being clean and in bed when I saw this thread. Night time showers are going on my newly created list of unexpected joys of parenthood

Sleepingdragon, yes my baby DD is making morning showers difficult so now night time showering is the best thing ever. Got to say, I can't believe its taken me so long to try it!

Argh! DH is away tonight and you've made me wish I'd got myself organised and changed the sheets, had a shower and put on fresh pj's and then enjoyed the lovely clean bed all to myself.

Can't be bothered starting now!

I shower every morning, I can't face the day without a shower. Then I shower practically every night, I love getting into bed all clean and fresh.

I shower in the morning, during the day if possible (I live across the road from where I work), then at night.

One can never be too clean

Apparently Chinese people shower at night (so I have just googled).

I am an AM showerer. Cannot even imagine not showering in the morning.

PM here. Not least because first thing I do when I get up is go for a run-what'd be the point in showering before that?

But I love getting into bed clean :)

I shower thoroughly in the morning with soap, but in the evening I just rinse with water so as not to dry out my skin. I can't get into bed sweaty!

Evening showerer here. Nothing to do with what time of day I want to feel fresh and clean - It just means I can lie in bed slightly longer in the morning if I don't have to shower!

PM showering here too. I feel grimy if I get into bed all dirty.

I often have a very quick morning shower too.

I like PM showers but if I didn't have AM showers then I would be all dreary eyed and static haired all of the time!

Newly converted to evenings here too, bathroom congestion in the mornings is to blame here, we've only got one and the DCs have gradually switched from evening baths to morning showers. I love getting into bed warm and clean but don't like having wet hair in bed and feel a bit grubby not showering in the morning.
If I had unlimited hot water and a bathroom to myself I'd probably do both.

Bathin the evening shower in the morning!

I'm both. Well, shower in the morning and bath in the evening.

Another vote for clean and fresh. Also I have new pillows and the sheets were boil washed 2 days ago. Envy me.

AM shower, PM bath.
