Pauline...the usual po shit that makes a joje out of mn.

Hatespiders · 30/11/2014 18:43

Thank you Bulbasaur. The song sounds fairly innocuous after all. My friend must have a rude mind!

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 30/11/2014 18:43

I keeping meaning to buy some gold top milk and vanilla Haagen-Daaz. I've never tried that combination before, but I know it will be heavenly.

I love a good thick chocolate malt. There was an American diner near me that made them perfectly, but they closed down and I've never been able to replicate it.

GahLinDah · 30/11/2014 18:45

God I love the newborn vegans, so earnest, so bonkers. I must tell my colleague who is a normal non ranting vegan about the 'rape rack' she might just piss herself laughing.

Only on MN could a thread about milkshakes go so wrong. It may be the new helium balloons op. Xmas Grin

tethersend · 30/11/2014 18:49

Whatever happened to a milkshake being a bit of crusha mixed with milk and a thimbleful of Neapolitan ice cream bobbing around on top?

Fabulous46 · 30/11/2014 18:50

I love milkshakes, especially fresh banana ones. My dad used to use the milk from the cooler on the farm before it was taken to be bottled to make them with strawberries from the garden. I have just told DH the bull must not rape the cows in future Shock. I don't know why Pauline felt the need to post on LIGHTHEARTED thread about milkshakes.

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 30/11/2014 18:52

I love Banana Milkshake, its my favourite Maccy D's flavour. Overall though I do prefer a cookie variety. We like going to the Milkshake shop for a treat.

Went past a Burger King once and went in to buy a milkshake, but they didn't do them. It was a town centre one so not sure if Burger King have stopped completely selling them now.

PerpetualStudent · 30/11/2014 18:54

Ah man, I got all excited because I spotted TWO people who share my Maccy D's milkshake/chips love, now I've come away with the impression Kelis is perpetuating cow rape? So confused, might need a milkshake to calm down...

Hatespiders · 30/11/2014 18:55

Oh Biscuit, gold top milk... Oh I'd do anything for gold top milk! I'm definitely going out tomorrow to get some. If my doctor asks why I've put on yet more weight, I'll tell her it's all the fault of someone called 'SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit'.

squoosh · 30/11/2014 18:57

Eddie Rocket's chocolate malt shakes are amazing.

wigglybeezer · 30/11/2014 18:58

I am going to sound like a right party popper but I think milkshakes and soft drinks should be occasional treats for children only. I apologise for being judge but i do feel a bit Hmm about adults having them with meals, what's wrong with a glass of water if you are thirsty. I could overlook a milkshake at the end of a meal instead of pudding, just.

BinarySolo · 30/11/2014 18:59

Ikea's gingerbread milkshakes are delicious. I may have to go there again very soon. Bargain at £1.

I love milkshakes. I was vegan for about 4 years and still loved milkshakes. Alpro ones are very good.

squoosh · 30/11/2014 19:03

wigglybeazer why would someone have a glass of water if what they wanted was a milkshake? Perk of being an adult is that you get to make your own food choices.

Sparklingbrook · 30/11/2014 19:03

wiggly you are a party popper for sure.

EatShitDezza · 30/11/2014 19:08

As an adult I think adults should drink whatever the fuck they want.

Water? Yes because that's tasty.

I like to drink rum, can't mix that with water.

mrssmith79 · 30/11/2014 19:08

Milkshakes AND party poppers?? We just need a clown and we've got ourselves a party! Grin

yabu Pauline and insensitive bringing such meaningful words into a light hearted thread about milkshakes.
Seems like you might be more concerned about cows feelings than humans.

Mulderandskully · 30/11/2014 19:14

I like a milk shake too. Having it with a meal is no different to a latte with breakfast! And I'm skinny Wink

Bulbasaur · 30/11/2014 19:16

I'm quite content eating my unethical animal products, thank you very much. :)

Tanaqui · 30/11/2014 19:18

Am I he only one who likes thin milk shakes - without ice cream or thickener? Like chocolate milk? (But not the thickened frij kind) Or isn't that a milkshake any more?!

MiscellaneousAssortment · 30/11/2014 19:20

Oooh I love a good milkshake :)

Im afraid I have one most nights instead of a cocoa type milky drink Shock

Milk, banana (frozen) and Cadburys drinking choc... Calcium and one of me five a day innit! Licks lips...

EatShitDezza · 30/11/2014 19:22

I like the nesquik ones

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 30/11/2014 19:35

I do like all milkshakes, but they can be too thick (Macdonalds) and therefore not much different to Ice Cream so they need to melt a bit.

SomeSortOfDeliciousBiscuit · 30/11/2014 19:45

Hatespiders, it's taken from a quote from Black Books:

Bernard: It's all waffle! Nobody is prepared to admit that wine doesn't have a taste.
Manny: Of course you can't taste anything, you smoke eighty bajillion cigarettes a day. What's that you're eating?
Bernard: It's some sort of delicious biscuit.
Manny: It's a coaster!

Not that will make you sound any saner, of course, but I thought you might appreciate some context.

I saw milk in Sainsbury's the other day that was calling itself gold top, but it looked a bit weird, so I looked at it and it was HOMOGENATED. That's the complete opposite of what gold top is - it's non-homogenated so the cream floats to the top. That's the whole point!*

*may have had this rant several times already Blush
