Just too bloody cute. Grin

Especially the episodes where he can't hold his pee pee in and misses the "toilet train" ... or the episode when he puts too much "goo" in the bath and it overflows with bubbles...

I just love it.

I'm nearly 34. Ds prefers wooly and tig but I keep trying to tempt him to watch Bing on iplayer.

I need a life.

My dd loves Bing and his thing. She 3, snd we've been reading the books from the library about Bing.

Fairylea · 01/10/2014 20:18

There are books??? I must get those....

I'm never entirely sure if Bing is being nannied by the little sack man like zula and the others seem to be or whether they are meant to be parents.... .

Dh says he can't understand why panda suddenly takes his trousers off in the opening credits...?! Random :)

It is very cute! I like Pando who always takes his shorts off and goes round in his little y-fronts. And the grown-ups who are smaller than the children!

FishCalledWonder · 01/10/2014 20:22

DD loves it. Every episode deals with toddler angst! It's like Friends for 2 year olds!

ButEmilylovedhim · 01/10/2014 20:23

I think it's Pando's 'quirk', he's always doing it and no one bats an eyelid! Makes me wonder if the writers knew a child who did this and decided to put it in. It's well observed I think.

BettyFocker · 01/10/2014 20:24

DS is 3 and loves it and so do I

Annoyingly, Sky records half of Raa-Raa, all of the first episode of Bing, then half of the second episode. So it's 14 minutes long for a 5 minute programme! Fast-forwarding is a PITA.

Fairylea · 01/10/2014 20:25

Yes it is like friends for toddlers !

Definitely very observational... ds is 2 and a half and I see so much of his behaviours in it. I think the way the grown ups / childminders interact with them is so lovely.

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Not unreasonable at all, I love bing and so does my dd. The last couplr of days our aerial has been messing about so I've had to retune a couple of times just to watch it Smile

MissYamabuki · 01/10/2014 20:36

He is so cute and lovely Smile The "adults" are always so reasonable.

DD (3.10) loves it. I must get my hands on the books.

PepsiTwirl · 01/10/2014 20:42

Does anyone know where I can buy 'bing' merchandise :)?????

ithoughtofitfirst · 01/10/2014 20:43

Cutest theme song ever

Superlovely · 01/10/2014 20:49

I have been reading these books for twelve years to my children. They all love them and I know them off by heart. Love Bing.Grin

Fairylea · 01/10/2014 20:49

Apparently Fisher Price have purchased the rights to make Bing toys and some should be coming out soon. I'd love to get a big soft toy version for ds (me.... cough cough).

Mark Rylance voices Flop. I could listen to him all day long.

EmperorTomatoKetchup · 01/10/2014 21:02

We love it in our house, I could listen to Mark Rylance as flop all day long too!

BadtzMaru · 01/10/2014 21:26

We love Bing in our house too. There are some sticker books available for pre order on amazon. I don't know why the toys seem to be the parents in the show though, I think Bing has proper parents in the books doesn't he?

FloraPost · 01/10/2014 21:41

DS1 is obsessed by it. Not sure why the knitted carers tolerate and enable Pando's generally poor behaviour.

Aciderwouldbenice · 01/10/2014 22:34

My son giggles and giggles at the play area episode when they go through the wobbly tunnel thing. It is adorable. Took me a few episodes to get my head around Flop though!

Oriunda · 01/10/2014 22:45

DS loves it and I think it's great that each episode deals with a toddler issue as DS really relates to it.

TheSkiingGardener · 02/10/2014 01:09

I think Cbeebies at one point linked to a knitting pattern for Flop if anyone is that way inclined.

ConcreteElephant · 02/10/2014 09:13

I adore Flop - so calm, so measured. He's my parenting inspiration especially when I'm aware I'm veering more towards fishwife than Flop

DS adores Bing, we also enjoyed the books before it hit the screen. I think it's been adapted beautifully, lots of extra characters, charming stories, and can I say that I love Bing's interior decor?

ConcreteElephant · 02/10/2014 09:14

I've never seen Bing have parents in the books but in the books Flop is just his teddy.

ithoughtofitfirst · 02/10/2014 09:15

theskiing ... i shed a tear of joy when i read that.

PicnicPie · 02/10/2014 09:18

Hoppity vooosh Smile

Me and DD1 (21 months) absolutely love Bing. Currently watching now. The stories are so toddler relevant especially love the one about the Hoover and the overflowing bubble bath. Oh and the one where he wees on his blankie.

Mouthfulofquiz · 02/10/2014 09:19

Literally discovered this yesterday! Love it.
