and her Jackpot Balls?

I'm usually quite tolerant of naff adverts but this is just lewd and cringeworthy and makes me want to throw things at the TV.

Such innuendo aimed at women on daytime tv is now, thankfully, unacceptable so what sort of message is this ad sending?

She's a disgrace to modern women and should have retired years ago.

Or they 'had' to get married femin. The good old days, eh?

mignonette · 10/09/2014 12:41

People like BW are very proud of their gangland associations so I doubt she has too many sleepless nights over the morality of a gambling advert.

Maisyblue · 10/09/2014 13:30

If we'd have lived in them days (before decent contraception) I'm sure we'd have made sure we didn't keep getting pregnant. The consequences of being an unmarried mum were horrendous, but that doesn't mean she should have used abortion as her form of contraception. Unless I was prepared to bring a child up I'd have made sure I didn't keep getting pregnant. I wonder if she has any regrets now she's older.

Solo · 10/09/2014 13:42

I'm SOOOOOOOO glad to find fellow BW dislikers (Hmm is that a word?!). I can't stand her voice, her laugh, her flabby boobs that need putting away
Funny because I liked her in the Carry On's as a child of the 70's...I suppose there wasn't as much choice as there is now though.

BeCool · 10/09/2014 13:44

I despise pretty much every person that promotes gambling, and high interest short term loans. They can all fuck off.

Solo · 10/09/2014 13:45

Oh and I totally think that gambling ads should be banned anyway Angry. We are heading for a future generation of gamblers in debt and despair IMHO.

BeCool · 10/09/2014 13:49

MaisyBlue maybe you didn't hear because unlike celebrities such as BW, the average woman's personal life isn't subject to public scrutiny and written about on the internet for everyone to google at will.

Or do you have access to all the medical records of all the other British women of BW's age?

Maisyblue · 10/09/2014 14:41

becool..... I don't need to have any medical records, BWs personal life has never been kept personal, she talks freely about all her abortions, it's something she has never kept secret. If I want to give my opinion about it I will, try checking up thread, you'll see it's been mentioned before me. In case you don't know the thread is tiled "I hate Barbara Windsor"...... If that ain't personal I don't know what is. Get off my back.

Maisyblue · 10/09/2014 14:49

Right sorry I read that post off you becool out of context! I was thinking you were implying BWs personal life shouldn't be discussed. But I still think you're wrong about British women in general, in them days there wasn't as much promiscuity, multiple abortions certainly weren't the norm, I don't need access to medical records to know this.

BeCool · 10/09/2014 14:57

I don't know how on earth you can know this. It's not something people shouted from the rooftops about.

Maisyblue · 10/09/2014 15:26

How on earth can I know this?Shock, the sexual behaviour of both sexes through out the ages is well documented. How on earth can you not know this?

BeCool · 10/09/2014 15:32

Maisy you really don't know. I guess what is bugging me is the really very judgmental and nasty sneer of your post above - it's pure misogyny.

Maisyblue · 10/09/2014 15:49

becool do you know what bugs me? people who can turn what was a chatty thread(others had also been "judgemental" by mentioning her abortions) but you came along and turned it from a discussion into something else. (a personal attack on me). The whole thread was judgemental as was the title but you decided to have a go at me in particular. But there you go, there's always one.

frankie001 · 10/09/2014 16:18

Hate that bingo advert, though it is now second place to the lucky pink bird poo one.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 13/09/2014 09:06

Ok, I take it back.
