It's true. They don't sell anything in Wales, that's why all Welsh people are naked all the time. Wink

Seriously, where did he get that idea? It's the 21st century in Wales too.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 27/06/2014 12:51

Well having grown up right near wales, it does depend where in Wales you are! If you're staying in a village like mine you won't even have a shop, let alone trainers. Infact we wear carved rocks on our feet.

nancy75 · 27/06/2014 12:52

Do welsh people even have feet?

ItsNotUnusualToBe · 27/06/2014 12:52

No trainers in Wales. Only daps.

itsstillgood · 27/06/2014 12:57

Depends where you are. Where we holiday we struggle to buy food!

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 27/06/2014 12:57

No trainers in Wales. Only daps

That, is true.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 27/06/2014 12:58

They will probably be cheaper in Sports Direct though.

SergeantJarhead · 27/06/2014 12:58

Depends where you holiday Op!
Is it near Pontypridd or Cardiff in the South? Sports World sells trainers for bugger all :D

ComposHat · 27/06/2014 12:59

I think he is right. No one does sport in Wales.

A leisure centre in Wales is a sheep tied to a lamp post.

squoosh · 27/06/2014 13:01

Like early man Welsh people's bodies are still entirely covered in fur thus eliminating the need for shoes.

fluffyraggies · 27/06/2014 13:01

It's hard to find a mc donalds in wales.

x2boys · 27/06/2014 13:03

Do they have lampposts though composhat if they do are the oillamps?

Gruntfuttock · 27/06/2014 13:03

"Well having grown up right near wales, it does depend where in Wales you are! If you're staying in a village like mine you won't even have a shop, let alone trainers."

Well, that could apply to villages anywhere, not just Wales.

Owllady · 27/06/2014 13:03

It rains so much that all Welsh people have webbed feet like ducks and all the daps are sort of triangular.

Plus in certain parts of Wales it is still 1954. But without the co-op or the jobs.

I don't care what you say, I still wish I could live there. Sad

Owllady · 27/06/2014 13:08

When we went last year my children were beside themselves because every night an ice cream van came down the street and they had never seen one before. I take my children on holiday in the 80s

AtiaoftheJulii · 27/06/2014 13:10

They even have SportsDirect in Wales! Of course, they only sell wellies.

x2boys · 27/06/2014 13:11

We live in Bolton owl we have an icecream van every night and everyday outside school are there no ice cream vans where you live?

squoosh · 27/06/2014 13:13

What godforsaken land do the poor Owl babies live in that there are no ice cream vans?

Owllady · 27/06/2014 13:14

There is an ice cream van occasionally at the park. I think that is their only exposure to them here

aderynlas · 27/06/2014 13:14

Daps are what your boy needs Owllady. Tell him theres no time to be ill in Wales we are too busy trying to get out of 1954. Website must be something in England where spiders live. We are sure to have one by here in a minute. Happy holidays.

Frontier · 27/06/2014 13:15

Well uabu if you think you'll get them cheaper in Wales than you Will in Sports Direct, uabu if you'd rather spend any of your holiday shopping for shoes with a teenager than buy them on line before you go, yabu to think you'll find what he wants in anything other than a large town, yanbu to think they do sell trainers somewhere in Wales

Owllady · 27/06/2014 13:19

:o aderynlas

He has too many trainers anyway. Some for mum, some for astro, some for posing, high tops, poncey things that you just slip on. He is the trainer version of Imelda Marcos
