Yes, in towns. No in small villages. So depends where in the wales.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 27/06/2014 20:28

Aww it's a lovely area (I've not long moved to NE Wales from Barmouth and went to school in Tywyn, going back next weekend to dress up in medieval clothes and watch my ILs attack each other with swords in Harlech castle Hmm ) but.... yeah good luck getting trainers Grin

Owllady · 27/06/2014 20:32

The whole point of going there is so they embrace normal stuff tbh (not trainers and stuff) :) don't tell him though. I am rubbish and old (I am 36 Hmm :o) and the worst mum ever

I love barmouth. I don't care what anyone says about it, it's lovely and so are the people that live there.

I feel I have given away tmi on this thread

I love living here - I totally understand why anyone wants to come here. If I forget to buy milk, I enjoy black tea. In the absence of trainers, I wear wellies.

My neighbour just popped over with a bucket of tomatoes. As you do.

Life's lovely and simple like that.

(Yes we are rather perturbed that David Cameron decreed that English is the only language of the UK), but I'll forgive you 'Lynn' peninsula!

And yes, I'm sure we are all bad parents for depriving our kids of made in sweat shoptrainers!

WellWhoKnew · 27/06/2014 20:40

strike out fail due to Welsh broadband 'dim gweithio'.

Birdsgottafly · 27/06/2014 20:43

I also love Barmouth, as well as everywhere else I've ever been in Wales, camping makes my life bearable.

However, I often wonder if there's a big warehouse were they store all of the clothes that don't sell in Liverpool, for at least three years and then give them out, because it appears to be very difficult to buy decent clothes In Wales (or Wigan/St Helens).

Love you as a Nation, but a major plus to visiting is that no matter how rough you look, you still look passable.

He will most definitely not be able to get a decent pair of trainers.

Disclaimer: Lighthearted.
