KLAXON

xvxvxvxvxvxvxvxv · 25/06/2014 05:16

Yes. Probably the only person in the whole world.

Tealady1983 · 25/06/2014 05:20

What's klaxon?

My DD's getting her ears pierced in August. I think she'll look lovely in them. :)

But if you don't like seeing a baby with pierced ears, hide your friend's feed. Problem solved.

Wishfulmakeupping · 25/06/2014 05:23

This threads probably going to get nasty quite quickly they do- but i agree with you OP

FunLovinBunster · 25/06/2014 05:27

Does your pal have a ginormous tv?
Or a goat?

Fideliney · 25/06/2014 05:31

How about piercing just one of your baby's ears Princess? Then you can swivel her around according to the baby-ear-perforation-preference of whoever you're talking to at the time? Wink

Everyone should do it. In fact that should do it at the hospital as a matter of course.

Fideliney · 25/06/2014 05:34

Klaxon Tealady

Tealady1983 · 25/06/2014 05:37

Thanks fide. I knew what a klaxon is I just don't know why it was posted here (probably missing something I usually do!)

Yanbu op to think that it looks horrible, and is cruel and unnecessary (which I happen to agree with), as after all, you are only stating your opinion, which you are perfectly entitled to have and express.

HOWEVER, prepare to be insulted, told to fuck off and mind your own, accused of prejudice and probably flamed. These threads have a habit of going that way.

Ooh, now there's an idea. Then when I bought her earrings I'd always have a spare. Grin

Princess what made you decide to do it and why aug. Just don't get it but insight would be good if you'll share.

Yip it cruel

KoalaDownUnder · 25/06/2014 05:40

They only look horrible for the first few weeks, until you can put the gold hoops in. Then they look lovely.

ThedementedPenguin · 25/06/2014 05:40

YABU. Stop judging it's only a bloody ear ring.

MoreBoober · 25/06/2014 05:40

It's !

Tealady1983 · 25/06/2014 05:44

No judgement of that's what you choose to do then crack on. I am interested in why you would do it though, how does it benefit the baby?

Fideliney · 25/06/2014 05:45

I think it just meant the subject matter will attract a crowd OP

FunLovinBunster · 25/06/2014 05:51

Buy your high brow pal a pair of Pat Butcher's cast offs.
Call it a christening gift for the lucky ickle pwincess.

PrincessBabyCat · 25/06/2014 05:52

In August because she'll be about 4 months, she'll be bigger in case she needs tylonal after, and have two rounds of immunizations.

I could go into all the multitude of reasons, but basically it boils down to I choose to. Also, as an adult I can take care of her ears properly without worrying about her playing with them while they heal. If she doesn't like it when she's older, she can always just not wear earrings.

But she'll have numbing cream and all that so it doesn't hurt. Wink

OpiesOldLady · 25/06/2014 05:56

I'm getting my three week olds nose pierced, just to be a little bit different.

Can't decide between a stud or a ring - WDYT?

Tealady1983 · 25/06/2014 05:58

Love it bunster Grin
thanks princess for sharing/explaining. I guess the you taking care if them bit makes sense. Pat butchers in the post Wink

superstarheartbreaker · 25/06/2014 05:59

I just don't really get WHY people feel the need to do this. It is an individual's choice surely...something the child can decide when their older.

Tealady1983 · 25/06/2014 06:01

Me either super. I doesn't make the baby look cute or nice at all. It fact I think it makes then look rough Shock but that is just my opinion. I am sure people look at my daughter and think shocker she not got her ears pierced poor baby looking all natural! Wink
