Through the self service as a white roll (to save on pennies)

Morebounceperounce · 28/05/2014 09:07

Yes it's theft. Hth.

Crocodocodile · 28/05/2014 09:08

YABU it literally will be pennies so what's the point?

Feminine · 28/05/2014 09:08

no. choose the white roll if you are short on pennies!

JennyOnTheBlocks · 28/05/2014 09:11

Do it, the consequences will be hilarious Hmm

bigdog888 · 28/05/2014 09:12

Sounds reasonable if you're a thieving cunt.

Fcukfifa · 28/05/2014 09:13

My friend puts all fruit and veg through as loose onions...ah be a rebel and go for it Wink

NoArmaniNoPunani · 28/05/2014 09:15

Theiving cunt's a bit harsh. Corporations avoid paying their massive tax bills and someone gets called a cunt for about 5p

Dropdeadfred2 · 28/05/2014 09:15

it is theft

midnightagents · 28/05/2014 09:16

Yanbu. Grin
Those machines are seriously flawed.

midnightagents · 28/05/2014 09:18

"Thieving cunt" Grin can't believe people are getting on their high horse about 20p or whatever it is. Brainwashed.

bigdog888 · 28/05/2014 09:18

Theft is theft. If you steal you're a fucking cunt. Absolute scum, end of.

Only1scoop · 28/05/2014 09:19

Just be careful the 'croissant alarm' doesn't go off!

Haggisfish3 · 28/05/2014 09:20

This would never have occurred to me to do! Don't they do weights for the bagging area, though, so it might flash the bell as the two weights don't tally-imagine the embarrassment!! Go to Aldi or Lidl for cheaper croissants. It is theft.

EduardoBarcelona · 28/05/2014 09:20

Do you really need to ask

Feminine · 28/05/2014 09:20

This is a wind-up.

It has been lovely having my ears woken up with all the swearing though!

CaulkheadUpNorth · 28/05/2014 09:21

I've done it, but in my defence they didn't have the special new very exciting pastry or bread or whatever on the screen so I just picked something it looked like.

As soon as I walked away from the till a massive cage came down over me with flashing lights and people starting shouting "theif, theif". It was then written on my head in marker so everyone would know.

Only part of that is true...Wink

Bearbehind · 28/05/2014 09:21

corporations avoid paying their massive tax bills and someone gets called a cunt for about 5p

Strange comparison there Hmm

Big corporations might avoid tax but the generally don't evade it.

Deliberately selecting a white roll, when you know you have a croissant is theft.

Icelollycraving · 28/05/2014 09:28

Yabu. Do you try the grapes too?

gordyslovesheep · 28/05/2014 09:34

if all you can afford is a bread roll ...buy a bread roll

it is very dishonest to lie about it to save 20p

LoveBeingInTheSun · 28/05/2014 09:35

Are you stood there waiting for a decision?

CiderLover · 28/05/2014 09:54

I didn't pay for my carrier bag either Shock

ViviPru · 28/05/2014 09:55

Are you stood there waiting for a decision?

Hahaha @ that mental image....

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 28/05/2014 09:58

Go for it OP. no-one outside of MN will give a shiny shite.

bigdeal · 28/05/2014 10:04

agree with silly

whois · 28/05/2014 10:05

Apparently there has been a rise of middle-class shoplifting with the increase of selfs service tills - get your saffron through the scales with your bag of potatoes. Put your perfectly ripe mango through as a Granny Smith.

The labour savings from the self check outs must more than make up for than the increased shoplifting.

Can't get too excited about the OP paying for a roll and taking a croissant. It's not 100% ethical but nor is it the height of 'thieving scum cunt' either. Nice.
