Because he's not had a bath in a week?

Every night this week he's said he'll go in but hasn't got round to it.

He's had a couple of armpit washes and doesn't smell when he's wearing his (clean every day) clothes but he rolled over in bed last night and he smelt foisty :-(

He's not depressed or anything, just lazy but I find it disgusting!

YANBU, especially if it's just down to him being a lazy fuck.

Has he always been so crap at keeping clean?

Does he work? Why doesn't he wash for work if he does?

Lotsofthingscantfly · 25/04/2014 23:01

YANBU I would not enjoy that! Try luring him in with you? Or running him a bath?

Havanacat · 25/04/2014 23:02

YANBU. It would take 5 mins to have a shower. Stinky boy!

pepperrabbit · 25/04/2014 23:02

Eugh Sad
Revolting! He'll make the sheets stink.
Run him a bath yourself?

BobPatandIgglePiggle · 25/04/2014 23:04

He's always been lazy and has never bathed daily (he's been 'doing up' our bathroom for 3 years and we still have no working shower) but usually goes in every 3 days ish.

A fucking week though???

Yes, he works - doesn't need to be smart for work.

YANBU. Sadly I too have a man child DP who has to be reminded to have a shower every couple of days. Drives me up the wall.

AgentZigzag · 25/04/2014 23:05

Would you really run him a bath Lots and pepper?

I don't think I could just on principle, he's old enough to sort out his own personal hygiene.

BobPatandIgglePiggle · 25/04/2014 23:06

Lotsof - no way am I getting in with him, he must be filthy!

AgentZigzag · 25/04/2014 23:07

Doesn't he come across other people at work though?

His ripeness must waft after him all day.

AlpacaLypse · 25/04/2014 23:08

DP knows he won't get a shag if he hasn't had a shower. It's worked for the last 18 years.

pepperrabbit · 25/04/2014 23:09

I would run him a bath - but not in a loving and supportive way Grin More of a "get your lazy arse in here or sleep in the shed" kind of way..

Nope thats just skanky! Every other day is my limit!

BobPatandIgglePiggle · 25/04/2014 23:11

He does Agent but tbh he's not smelly clothed - it was only last night in bed I noticed and asked him this morning when he last went in the bath

I was just about to ask how old he was thinking he couldn't be very old if he was still coming into your bed, then I realised you said DP and not DS. Eurgh, ban him.

frogslegs35 · 25/04/2014 23:13

Yanbu.

That's minging tbh.
He may be washing his pits but there's more body parts his arse that need a good bloody wash.
I'd have no respect for an able bodied, capable adult who didn't take personal hygiene seriously and even less for one who expected to share a bed with them.

Notcontent · 25/04/2014 23:13

I am sorry but that's really disgusting. My shower is a bit broken, so I have a quick bath every morning. It takes me about 10 minutes in total. This is not the Middle Ages.

BrianTheMole · 25/04/2014 23:13

Gross. Yanbu.

frogslegs35 · 25/04/2014 23:14

expected me*

feathermucker · 25/04/2014 23:14

YANBU!! Hmm

Gennz · 25/04/2014 23:15

YANBU. I just actually vomited in my mouth reading this (am 9 weeks preg and feeling queasy but tbh the thought of not washing over a week prob would have done it anyway)

MyLatest · 25/04/2014 23:16

Gross. Even if he only runs an inch bath and cleans himself quickly he needs to wash tonight.

BobPatandIgglePiggle · 25/04/2014 23:17

Glad I'm not just being fussy. He reckons it's just a bloke thing!
