Baby @ Greggs!

while out shopping with my 8 month old we walked passed a Greggs bakers and noticed a woman come out with some pasty's. she took a bite out of one and then shoved the corner of the pasty into her child's mouth, ok not so bad but this child looked no older than my little boy, would estimated 6-9mth max. why oh why would you give a Greggs pasty to a baby???
I don't care generally how other people feed their babys, bf, ff, baby led weaning, organic, homemade or pouches/jars, but really GREGGS!
aibu thinking this is wrong for a child so young?

OP posts:
Ploppy16 · 14/04/2014 18:12

Aren't these threads supposed to describe the clothes and BMI of said child?
OP you missed a bit...

WireCat · 14/04/2014 18:12

Clover Envy

I must visit Scotland.

Sometimes when I cba, my kids dinner is a Greggs sausage roll followed by a novelty doughnut.

OP, put that in your dossier & smoke it.

A chippy where we are does deep fried Freddos. What's not to like?

CheesyBadger · 14/04/2014 18:18

When dd was 9 months old she had a lovely time chomping a sausage roll which was part of a MUCH bigger picture with regards to her diet.

YABU and a bit mean

Lj8893 · 14/04/2014 18:19

I lived on greggs when I was pregnant.

I was like an obsessive pasty/pizza slice/iced bun monster.

You have all made me reeeeeally want a greggs now!

CheesyBadger · 14/04/2014 18:24

Oh and OP, check out the McDonald's thread from yesterday if you think we are being mean... You got off lightly!

BurnThisDiscoDown · 14/04/2014 18:25

Nothing to add except rofl at "Sex With Gregg's Pasty Boiled My Bellend", which is followed up spectacularly with "I may never be able to have sex with a chicken pasty again" GrinGrinGrinGrin

RhinestoneCowgirl · 14/04/2014 18:26

Ah, a Greggs pasty being fed to a baby thread, it's like The Olden Days

[nostalgic]

Are we sure there wasn't a Fruit Shoot involved?

Pancakeflipper · 14/04/2014 18:32

You omitted the bit about the baby swigging cola out of a bottle.

We do not grace the threshold of Greggs cos nowt is dairy-free for DS so we look longingly at the cream buns .

butterflyroom · 14/04/2014 18:36

Some pasty's what? ;)

Jinty64 · 14/04/2014 18:36

Well, to be fair to the OP, I would never have given PFB ds1(18) a Greggs pasty (even if we had a Gregg's). He was bf, home made, free range, organic all the way. That's probably why he stuffs his face with so much shit these days whilst his neglected less managed little brothers fight over the last piece of broccoli.

OP may have led a sheltered life.

Ohbyethen · 14/04/2014 18:38

Discusting.
Gregg's pasties here have peas in them.
She might as well of been letting the bub lick the pavement.

I am actually still holding a grudge about the surprise peas. Occasionally I try to let them make it up to me with a bake, the atmosphere is slowly thawing. If they please me with Easter treats they shall be richly rewarded with the hot little pounds I clutch in my grubby paws to maximize the efficiency of the order-pay-stuff face transaction. Slick.

LotsaTuddles · 14/04/2014 18:40

My DS is 7mo, he will eat anything that you put in front of him, he would probably have a good go at a pasty (we'll imagine that he didn't "steal" a bit of his cousins sausage and bean melt the other day)

thebody · 14/04/2014 18:41

Did the baby have a red valour track suit on though and were they both fat?

If yes call ss today don't delay!

When mine were littie try used to swipe the sausage rolls out of my hands the littie buggers, blw my arse!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 14/04/2014 18:42

Where I work there is a Greggs then an amusement arcade then another Greggs, all in a row. And then ANOTHER one about 500 yards away. Indigestion heaven.

DogCalledRudis · 14/04/2014 18:45

Greggs are disgusting

ApocalypseNowt · 14/04/2014 18:46

I don't think i've ever been outraged but i'm going to give it a go...

Waaaaah! Urgh! Shock

Am I doing it right...?

I like to breathe in the smell as I pass by a Greggs, absolutely YUM.

Couldn't possibly eat one mind you, I would have to banish myself from MN evidently.

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2014 18:56

I can't stop smiling at 'Baby@Greggs', doesn't sound like the baby was though. Sad

gilliangoof · 14/04/2014 19:05

I do not see the problem at all.

Damnautocorrect · 14/04/2014 19:13
